The Rotaract Club of Faculty of Science, University of Colombo recently celebrated its 22nd installation ceremony on August 25, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony began with the lighting of the oil lamp at 10:45 a.m. and lasted for three hours, featuring various entertaining segments. Rtr. Udara Dilshan called the house to order, setting the tone for a series of heartfelt moments. The assembly stood for the national anthem and the Rotaract song. The installation ceremony honoured the contributions of past, present, and future Rotaractors, emphasizing their dedication to the club. Unity and team spirit were highlighted as key factors in their success and achievements.
The outgoing secretary, Rtr. Yowan Dias, presented the annual report, noting that the club completed 26 projects, 12 of 17 sustainability development goals, and 6 Rotary focus areas. Additionally, 3 projects were undertaken by the community service avenue. The spotlight then turned to Rtr. Nikitha Iddagoda, the immediate past president for the year 2023-2024. In his heartfelt speech, he expressed deep gratitude to the many individuals who supported him throughout his journey. He thanked everyone who stood by him, both during times of achievement and in challenging moments. 
Rtr. Nikitha Iddagoda smoothly handed over the reins to the incoming president, Rtr. Shenal Wickramasinghe, officially marking the beginning of his term as President of the Rotaract Club of the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo for the Rotaract Year 2024-2025.

Following a remarkable performance, District Rotaract Representative, PHF. Rtr. Past President. Shanel Mendis took the stage to address the audience. He began by commending the former president, Nikitha Iddagoda, and his dedicated team for their outstanding leadership, particularly for successful. 
Then, the Chief Guest, Rtn. Samiru Muthugama, delivered an inspiring address to the gathering. He began by congratulating the newly appointed president and the board of directors, acknowledging their commitment and dedication to the Rotary cause. In his speech, he highlighted the significance of being a Rotaractor about to change the system first change yourself and add value to the system then others will do the same and also he requested to try to take other who are not members of the club to the projects.
Afterwards, the Guest of Honor, Rtn. Mindula Perera, extended heartfelt wishes to the newly appointed president, Rtr.Shenal Wickramasinghe. They expressed their confidence in his leadership and wished him the best of luck in guiding the club forward. The Guest of Honor also encouraged try not to do what they did in the past and try to do your own ideas and topics what we are need to address. Also do not depend on president ideas try to take new ideas, topics from BOD and other members that would be great. 
Following the speeches, Rtr. Shenal Wickramasinghe took the stage to present Tokens of Appreciation to the special guests, recognizing their attendance at this significant event.The newly appointed Secretary, Rtr. Kavindi Hettiaratchi, was invited to deliver the Vote of Thanks. She expressed deep gratitude to everyone who had contributed to the success of the past year’s projects and extended her thanks to all the invitees for joining in the celebration of this momentous event.
