On the 10th of July, taking a turn in history, the 31st Annual Rotaract District Assembly was entirely held virtually in order to ensure the safety of the members and to adhere to the social distancing rules & regulations to control COVID-19. Despite the assembly been held amidst the pandemic, the Rotaract Clubs of Colombo Mid Town, Australian College of Business and Technology and University of Sri Jayawardanepura took a commendable effort to ensure that every element was brought together to create an everlasting memory for all the participants.
ඉතිහාසයේ හැරවුම් ලක්ෂ්‍ය සනිටුහන් කරමින් ජූලි 10 වන දින 31 වෙනි රොටරැක්ට් දිස්ත්‍රික් සභාව සාමාජිකයින්ගේ ආරක්‍ෂාව සහතික කිරීම සහ COVID-19 පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා සමාජ දුරස්ථ නීති හා රෙගුලාසි පිළිපදිමින් පැවැත්විණි. වසංගත සමය මධ්‍යයේ රැස්වීම පැවැත්වුවද, සහභාගී වූ සැමට කිසිදා නොමියෙන මතකයක් ඇති කිරීම සඳහා සෑම අංගයක්ම එකට ගෙන ඒම සහතික කිරීමට කොළඹ මිඩ් ටවුන්හි රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය, ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු ව්‍යාපාරික විද්‍යාලය සහ ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලය ප්‍රශංසනීය උත්සාහයක් ගත්හ.
The Rotaract District Assembly is a momentous event as the new District Steering Committee is installed, signifying the end of a Rotaract year yet, the beginning of another. The exceptional performances of the Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3220 are well recognized and rewarded at the event, where RACUOCFMF was once again able to prove their excellence of performance by securing several awards and nominations.
றோட்டராக்ட் மாவட்ட ஒன்றுகூடலானது முக்கியமானதொரு நிகழ்வாகும் ஏனெனில் புதிய மாவட்ட செயற்குழுவானது நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது ஒரு ரோட்டராக்ட் ஆண்டின் முடிவினையும், இன்னொரு ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்தையும் குறிக்கின்றது. இந் நிகழ்வில், ரோட்டரி இன்டர்நேஷனல் டிஸ்ட்ரிக்ட் 3220 இன் ரோட்டராக்ட் கழகங்களின் சிறப்பான செயற்பாடுகள் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டு கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டன. அவ் வகையில் RACUOCFMF ஆனது இம்முறையும் பல பரிந்துரைகள் மற்றும் விருதுகளைப் பெற்றதன் மூலம் தன் சிறப்பான செயற்திறனை நிரூபிக்க முடிந்தது.
Reserving the gold award for the ‘Most Outstanding Club Blog’ for the 6th consecutive year is indeed challenging, yet the astounding aptitude and diligence of the Blog team 19/20 secured the position while leaving a challenge for the upcoming blog teams to continue the legacy. Annual fun-filled event SLAMM, a joint affair between the five Rotaract Clubs of University of Colombo, brought 2 gold awards for the club, rewarding the endeavour of those who are involved.
අඛණ්ඩව 6 වන වරටත් ‘The Most Outstanding Club Blog’ සඳහා රන් සම්මානය ලබා ගැනීම සැබවින්ම අභියෝගාත්මක නමුත්, 2019-20 Blog කණ්ඩායමේ විශ්මය ජනක කුසලතාව සහ කඩිසරකම නිසා එය ලබගගනිමටත් ඉදිරි Blog කණ්ඩායම් වලට උරුමය දිගටම පවත්වාගෙන යාම සඳහා අභියෝගයක් ලෙස තැබීමටද සමත් විය.කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජ පහ අතර ඒකාබද්ධ සම්බන්ධතාවයක් වන, වාර්ෂිකව පැවැත්වෙන විනෝදය සපිරි අංගයක් වූ SLAMM සඳහා රන් සම්මාන 2 ක් ලබා ගත අතර, ඊට සම්බන්ධ වූවන්ගේ උත්සාහය ඇගයීම සඳහා ත්‍යාග ද පිරිනමන ලදි.
The District Assembly also marked the beginning of a journey for Rtn. Rtr. PP. Akhila Wijetunga who was a proud product of RACUOCFMF on being collared as the District Rotaract Representative for the year 2021-22 which was done by PDRR Rtn. Rtr. Kasun Sigera.
PDRR Rtn. Rtr. කසුන් සිගේරා විසින් 2021-22 වර්ෂය සඳහා දිස්ත්‍රික් රොටරැක්ට් නියෝජිතයා ලෙස RACUOCFMF හි සාඩම්බර නිමැවුමක් වූ Rtn. Rtr. PP. අකිල විජේතුංග තෝරා ගැනීමෙන් ඔහුගේ ගමනේ ආරම්භය ද දිස්ත්‍රික් සභාව විසින් සලකුනු කරන ලදී.
The appointment of our very own Immediate Past President Rtn. Rtr. Aamina Ismail to the deserving position of, Joint Director of Public Relations at the Rotaract District Steering Committee 2021-22 has been such a wonderful opportunity and pride for our club.
2021-22 இற்கான இணை இயக்குநர், மக்கள் தொடர்பு பதவி நியமனமானது மாவட்ட றோட்டரக்ட் ஒன்றுகூடலில் எமது கடந்த வருட தலைவர் Rtr. Rtr. Aamina Ismail இற்கு வழங்கப்பட்டமை எமது கழகத்திற்கு கிடைத்ததோர் வாய்ப்பு மற்றும் பெருமை ஆகும்.
The event was addressed by the Executive Vice-president of John Keels Holdings PLC, Mr. Nayana Mawilmada with an inspiring speech and the lively performances by Ms. Falan Andrea, Mr. Srimal Fernando and Mr. Pradhee Sandeepana left the viewers at awe.
