The Public Relations Avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance (RACUOCFMF) organized an event titled “Beyond the Plate” on May 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The English Cake Company. This heartfelt event aimed to provide meals to those in need and foster a sense of community and service among the participants.
A dedicated group of 8 members participated in this initiative. Collaborating with chefs Saman Pathmakumara and Visal Hasintha, the proud members of RACUOCFMF baked pizzas and served juice to 20 people, including street children. The event kicked off at 8 a.m. and continued through the morning, filled with the aromas of freshly baked pizzas and the joy of giving. The committee made a total of 7 pizzas, which were then distributed to poor people and children. This initiative was not just about feeding the hungry; it was about spreading love and compassion, one slice at a time. The act of making and sharing food helped bridge gaps and bring smiles to many faces, demonstrating the powerful impact of small acts of kindness.
The success of “Beyond the Plate” was possible due to the dedication of the committee members and the support of The English Cake Company. The event highlighted the importance of coming together to address social issues and showcased the difference that committed individuals can make in the lives of others. The project was a huge success, spreading love and joy throughout the community. RACUOCFMF හි Public Relations Avenue (RACUOCFMF) විසින් මැයි 27 වැනි දින පෙ.ව. 10.00 සිට ප.ව 01.01 දක්වා The English Cake Company හිදී Beyond the plate නමින් උත්සව අවස්ථාවක් පැවැත්වුණි.මෙම හෘදයාංගම උත්සවය අවශ්යතා ඇති අයට ආහාර සැපයීම සහ සහභාගිවන්නන් අතර ප්රජාව සහ සේවය පිළිබඳ හැඟීමක් ඇති කිරීම අරමුණු කර ගෙන ඇත.
මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා සිසුන් 8 දෙනෙකුගෙන් යුත් කැපවූ කණ්ඩායමක් සහභාගී විය. සූපවේදීන් වන Mr. Sanath Padmakumara සහ Mr. Visal Hasintha සමඟ සහයෝගයෙන් සිසුන් Pizza පුළුස්සා, වීදි දරුවන් ඇතුළු 20 දෙනෙකුට Fruit Juice සංග්රහ කළහ. උත්සවය පෙරවරු 8 ට ආරම්භ වූ අතර, නැවුම්ව පිළිස්සූ Pizza වල සුවඳ සහ දීමේ ප්රීතියෙන් පිරී උදෑසන දක්වාම පැවතුනි. සිසුන් විසින් Pizza 7 ක් සෑදූ අතර ඒවා දුප්පත් මිනිසුන්ට සහ ළමයින්ට බෙදා දෙන ලදී. මෙම මුලපිරීම කුසගින්නෙන් පෙළෙන අයට ආහාර සැපයීම පමණක් නොවේ; එය වරකට එක අරමුණක් ලෙස ආදරය සහ දයාව පැතිරවීමයි. ආහාර සෑදීමේ සහ බෙදා ගැනීමේ ක්රියාව හිඩැස් නැති කිරීමට සහ බොහෝ මුහුණු වලට සිනහවක් ගෙන ඒමට උපකාරී වූ අතර, කුඩා කරුණාවන්ත ක්රියාවන්හි බලවත් බලපෑම පෙන්නුම් කරයි.
“Beyond the Plate” හි සාර්ථකත්වය කමිටු සාමාජිකයින්ගේ කැපවීම සහ The English Cake Company සහයෝගය පිළිබඳ සාක්ෂියකි. සමාජීය ගැටළු විසඳීම සඳහා එකට එක්වීමේ වැදගත්කම මෙම අවස්ථාවෙන් පෙන්වා දුන් අතර කැපවූ පුද්ගලයන්ට අන් අයගේ ජීවිත තුළ කළ හැකි වෙනස පෙන්නුම් කළේය. ප්රජාව පුරා ආදරය හා ප්රීතිය පතුරුවමින් ව්යාපෘතිය අති සාර්ථක විය. #BeyondThePlate සහ #SpreadLove යන හැෂ් ටැගය සිදුවීමේ ආත්මය කැටිකර ඇති අතර, ආපසු ලබා දීමේ වැදගත්කම සහ ලෝකය තුළ ධනාත්මක බලපෑමක් ඇති කිරීමේ වැදගත්කම සිහිපත් කරයි.
முகாமைத்துவம் மற்றும் நிதியியல் பீடத்தின் The Public Relations Avenue of the Rotaract Club (RACUOCFMF) காலை 10:00 மணி முதல் பிற்பகல் 1:00 மணி வரை “Beyond the Plate” என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு நிகழ்வை At the English Cake Company இல் ஏற்பாடு செய்தது. இந்த இதயபூர்வமான நிகழ்வு தேவைப்படுபவர்களுக்கு உணவை வழங்குவதையும், பங்கேற்பாளர்களிடையே சமூகம் மற்றும் சேவை உணர்வை வளர்ப்பதையும் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது.
இந்த முயற்சியில் 8 மாணவர்களைக் கொண்ட அர்ப்பணிப்புக் குழு பங்கேற்றது. சமையல் கலைஞர்களான சமன் பத்மகுமார மற்றும் விஷால் ஹசிந்தா ஆகியோருடன் இணைந்து, மாணவர்கள் பீட்சாவை சுட்டு, தெருவோர குழந்தைகள் உட்பட 20 பேருக்கு பீஸ்ஸா மற்றும் பானம் வழங்கினர். நிகழ்வு காலை 8 மணிக்குத் தொடங்கியது மற்றும் மாலை வரை தொடர்ந்தது, புதிதாக சுடப்பட்ட பீஸ்ஸாக்களை கொடுத்து மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தன. மாணவர்கள் மொத்தம் 7 பீஸ்ஸாக்களை தயாரித்தனர், பின்னர் அவை ஏழை மக்களுக்கும் குழந்தைகளுக்கும் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இந்த முயற்சி பசித்தவர்களுக்கு உணவளிப்பது மட்டுமல்ல; இது அன்பையும் இரக்கத்தையும் பரப்புவதாக இருந்தது, ஒரு நேரத்தில் ஒரு துண்டு உணவை தயாரித்து பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் செயல், இடைவெளிகளை நீக்கி பல முகங்களில் புன்னகையை வரவழைத்தது, சிறிய கருணை செயல்களின் சக்திவாய்ந்த தாக்கத்தை நிரூபிக்கிறது.
