The 13th and 14th of March 2021 were dawned with inspirational creativity through two virtual sessions relating to Photoshop under the project “Creator within you 2.0”. These sessions were held through the Zoom and Facebook platforms, aiming to enhance the knowledge of Photoshop and to enhance the creativity of the participants.
The two sessions were conducted by Mr. Akila Kulathunga, former vice president of PR and IT of RACALBS, and Mr. Nadun Ranasinghe, editor of RACALBS while Rtr. Saseni Wijegunawardhana was the moderator for both sessions.
The first session was started off with Mr. Nadun Ranasinghe briefly explaining the basics of designing and the different types of graphical elements such as lines, shapes, and balance. And also he gave some tips on how to get free font styles from the internet. Then the session was handed over to Mr. Akila Kulathunga where he explained and demonstrated how to use different tools in Photoshop. Some of the very important and useful tools shown were: Marquee tool, Magic wand tool, The Clone Stamp tool, Eyedropper tool, and gradient tool. He also showed a few of the most useful shortcuts in Photoshop.
The first session ended successfully after a questions and answers session where both Mr. Akila Kulathunga and Mr. Nadun Ranasinghe answered each question of the participants with much clarity.
In the second session, both Akila and Nadun further elaborated on how to use those mentioned tools on Photoshop to create eye-candy content. This session too had a Q and A session at the end of the program where each active participants’ questions were answered thoroughly.
Both these sessions that were conducted under the project “Creator within you 2.0” provided a tremendous amount of knowledge and understanding to the participants on how to do wonders using their imagination with the help of Photoshop software. The project ended successfully with the assistance and guidance of so many valuable people who must be greatly appreciated.
