Center Stage – Rtr. Pramodha Weerasekara

Rtr. Pramodha Weerasekara is the Co-Editor of RI District 3220 – Sri Lanka and Maldives. Being a product of RAC of Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo, she’s a strong and independent woman who has quite the taste for ice cream.


What stereotype do you completely live up to? 
I try to live up to the stereotype of strong, independent woman. 


If you can select one famous personality and have them truthfully answer one question, who would you select and what is the question? 
I would talk to Oprah and ask her for tips for success. 



Where do you usually go when you have time off?
To bed, at home to read a book or for a swim.


As the only human left on Earth, what would you do? 
I would declare myself the owner of all the ice cream shops in the world! 


If you had a clock that would countdown to any one event of your choosing, what event would you want it to countdown to?
My next trip to Europe.

How do you relax after a hard day of work?
Binge watch a TV show or read a book that’s not recommended reading for my degree.


What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years?
Is my family still alive? 


What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Spend one good day at one of the beaches in Sri Lanka.


Favorite superhero or fictional character? 
Miriam from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.



What job would you be terrible at?
Anything to do with mathematics.


What are the small things that make your day better?
Coffee and undisturbed sleep.




Who inspires you to be better?
My family and friends.


What were some of the turning points in your life?
Being selected to the University of Colombo; Deciding to be a Rotaractor.
