Project Mission Compassion was initiated with regards to Christmas 2022 with the intention of celebrating the true meaning of Christmas under the avenue of Community Services of RACUOCFMF and was mainly focused on giving some toys for the girls who needed them, a meal and some sweet treats for them to make their day special. The main objective of this project was to work together as a team to add a real value to the meaning of Christmas which commenced on the 10th of December 2022 at Sri Lankadhara Orphanage – Wellawatte, an orphanage where there are around 35 girls in the age limit 10 – 21.
Mission Compassion ව්යාපෘතිය 2022 නත්තලට අදාළව RACUOCFMF හි ප්රජා සේවා මාවත යටතේ නත්තලේ සැබෑ අරුත සැමරීමේ අරමුණින් ආරම්භ කරන ලදී. එහිදී අප අවධානය යොමු කළේ ඔවුන්ගේ දවස විශේෂ කිරීම සඳහා සෙල්ලම් බඩු කිහිපයක්, ආහාර වේලක් සහ පැණිරස සංග්රහ කිහිපයක් ලබා දීමයි. මෙම ව්යාපෘතියේ ප්රධාන අරමුණ වූයේ 2022 දෙසැම්බර් 10 වන දින ශ්රී ලංකාධර අනාථාගාරය – වැල්ලවත්ත හි ,10 – 21 වයස් සීමාවේ ගැහැණු ළමයින් 35 ක් පමණ සිටින ළමා නිවාසයේ දී, ආරම්භ වූ නත්තලට සැබෑ වටිනාකමක් එක් කිරීමට කණ්ඩායමක් ලෙස එක්ව කටයුතු කිරීමයි.
RACUOCFMF இன் சமூக சேவைகளின் அவென்யூவின் கீழ் கிறிஸ்துமஸின் உண்மையான அர்த்தத்தை கொண்டாடும் நோக்கத்துடன் 2022 கிறிஸ்துமஸைப் பொறுத்தமட்டில், “திட்டம் Mission Compassion” தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இத்திட்டத்தில் சிறுவர்கள் தங்கள் நாளை சிறப்பானதாக மாற்றும் பொருட்டு, சிறுமிகளுக்குத் தேவைப்படும் சில பொம்மைகள், அவர்களுக்குத் தேவைப்படும் உணவு மற்றும் சில இனிப்பு விருந்துகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. 10 -21 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட சுமார் 35 பெண் குழந்தைகள் இருக்கும் ஶ்ரீ லங்கதர அனாதை இல்லம் – வெள்ளவத்தை என்ற அனாதை இல்லத்தில், கிறிஸ்மஸின் அர்த்தத்திற்கு உண்மையான மதிப்பைச் சேர்ப்பதற்காக ஒரு குழுவாக ஒன்றிணைந்து செயல்படுவதே இந்த திட்டத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.இத் திட்டம் மார்கழி 10ம் திகதி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
The day began with a series of fun games that were enjoyed by both the children and the committee members. Musical chairs, balloon dancing, and other exciting games were played to break the ice and get everyone in the mood for some fun. As the day progressed, the group sang songs and danced with the children, who were all delighted to have visitors.
The success of the project was nothing but the cute smiles of those girls when we were spending time with them and giving them those toys. Nothing is meaningful as gifting a little child something memorable for Christmas. After the game session, lunch was provided for the children, who enjoyed a variety of delicious food. This was followed by a special surprise, teddy bears for the younger children. The joy on their faces as they received their new teddy bears was priceless, and it was evident that these small gestures had made a big difference in their lives. We were also able to donate milk powder packets to the orphanage which was an essential item they were in need of.
With this, project Mission Compassion came to an end. Mission Compassion was not just about spreading joy for a day, but it was about creating lasting memories and relationships. The children were overjoyed with the activities and gifts provided to them, and the committee members also found the experience to be extremely rewarding, as they were able to make a positive impact in the lives of those who needed it the most.
We can give a valuable meaning for Christmas when we celebrate it by giving lights to those who need it which was done by this great cause. Finally, a huge applause goes to all the people who supported to bring this project as a success. Every small effort is valuable because if those small efforts weren’t added as a huge effort, we couldn’t be able to see those cute little faces with beautiful smiles.
