Path Finder 2023 was a panel discussion organized by the Professional Development Avenue and it was held on the 8th of November from 10 am onwards at the East wing auditorium. It aimed to give an idea of future job pathways for newcomers into the fields of accounting, finance, marketing, Human resource management, hospitality and leisure management, etc. to the undergraduates within our faculty. This initiative featured an informative session conducted by professionals with extensive experience in their respective fields to provide students with insights into their respective areas of study.
The panel was compered by Mr. Krishmal Fernando Lecturer in the department of international business. The panel consisted of the following individuals namely, Mr. Sanjaya Kalidasa the Director of the Financial Sector of Lolc Holdings, Ms. Prarthana Ranasinghe the Head of Human Resources in Ndb Capital Holdings, Mr. Lalith Piyatissa the Director of DMW ventures, Mr. C.P.A Karunathilake the Director of IBSL and Former assistant governor of CBSL and Mr. Priyantha Wijerathna the director of Human Resources in Cinnamon Lakeside. The Panel started on a light note with an initial discussion on how each panelist started in their respective field both academically and industry exposure vise and their background. Then gradually went on towards questions covering Future job pathways/ career opportunities for the respective accounting, finance, marketing, Human resource management, and hospitality and leisure management and What a newcomer to various fields spanning across different industries and sectors can expect. Following some light-hearted commentary, the panel gradually developed towards areas of new trends and new developments in the fields of accounting, finance, marketing, Human resource management, hospitality and leisure management, and Global trends, forecasts, and future global overview.
As an icebreaker session, a few rapid-fire questions were aimed at the panelists Mr. Krishmal Fernando to keep everyone engaged and in high spirits. Following the Wonderful and value-adding panel discussion the president of RACUOCFMF Rtr. Vishvi Wijetunga presented tokens of appreciation to every one of the panelists to show our gratitude for their valuable contribution despite time constraints. To keep the momentum going and to sum up the proceedings of the day a final Keynote Speech was delivered by the Guest of Honor Mr. Sampath Thirimavithana Director of Virtusa as a summation to the fruitful discussion held in the panel with hope for the future growth in the broad field of Management Studies and to prepare our undergraduates for a successful transition into the corporate world, aligning their academic pursuits with their personal career goals. The event ended on a high note with a token of appreciation being presented to Mr. Sampath Thirimavithana by the President of RACUOCFMF Rtr. Vishvi Wijetunge.
Path Finder 2023 Professional Development Avenue විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද විද්වත් කතිකාවතක් වූ අතර එය නොවැම්බර් මස 8 දින පෙරවරු 10.00 සිට East Wing ශ්‍රවනාගාරයේ පැවැත්විණි. මෙහි මූලික පරමාර්ථය වූයේ අප පීඨයේ නවක සිසුන්ට ගණකාධිකරණ, මූල්‍ය, අලෙවිකරණය, මානව සම්පත් කළමණාකරණය සහ ආගන්තුක සත්කාර හා විවේක කළමණාකරණ යන ක්ෂේත්‍ර වලට අදාලව රැකියා ප්‍රවේශ සඳහා අවබෝධයක් ලබා දීමයි. මෙම කතිකාවේදී සිසුන්ට ඔවුන්ගේ අධ්‍යන ක්ෂේත්‍රයන්හි අවබෝධයක් ලබා දීම උදෙසා අදාල ක්ෂේත්‍රයන්හි පුළුල් අත්දැකීම් ඇති වෘත්තිකයන් තොරතුරු සැසියක් පැවැත්විණි.
මෙම මණ්ඩලය සම්පාදනය කරන ලද්දේ ජාත්‍යන්තර ව්‍යාපාර අංශයේ කථිකාචාර්යක් ක්‍රිෂ්මාල් ප්‍රනාන්දු මහතා විසිනි. එම මණ්ඩලයෙහි LOLC Holdings හි මූල්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂක සංජය කාලිදාස මහතා, NDB Capital holdings හි මානව සම්පත් ප්‍රධානී ප්‍රාර්ථනා රණසිංහ මිය, DMW ව්‍යාපාරවල අධ්‍යක්ෂ ලලිත් පියතිස්ස මහතා, IBSL හිටපු සහකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ CPA කරුණාතිලක මහතා, CBSL හි හා Cinnamon Lakeside හි මානව සම්පත් අධ්‍යක්ෂක ප්‍රියන්ත විජේරත්න මහතාගෙන් සමන්විත විය. මෙම කතිකාවත ආරම්භයේ දී එම පාර්ශවකරුවන් කෙසේ තම ක්ෂේත්‍රය අධ්‍යනයෙන්, කාර්මික නිරාකරණයෙන් හා තම පසුබිම සලකා බැලීමෙන් ආරම්භ කලේ කෙසේද යන්න පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කලහ. අනතුරුව සාකච්ඡාවන් පැවැත්වූයේ ගණකාධිකරණ, මූල්‍ය, අලෙවිකරණය, මානව සම්පත් කළමණාකරණ, ආගන්තුක සත්කාර හා විවේක කළමණාකරණ යන ක්ෂේත්‍ර වල අනාගත රැකියා අවස්ථා/ වෘත්තීය මාර්ග පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කලහ. සැහැල්ලු සාකච්ඡාවන් අනතුරුව මණ්ඩලය ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ නව ප්‍රවනතා හා ගණකාධිකරණ, මූල්‍ය, අලෙවිකරණය, මානව සම්පත් කළමණාකරණ, ආගන්තුක සත්කාර හා විවේක කළමණාකරණ යන ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ ගෝලීය ප්‍රවණතා, අනාවැකි ලබාදීම, අනාගත ගෝලීය විශ්ලේෂණය අදාලව කරුණු හෙළිදරව් කලහ.
Icebreaker සැසියක් ලෙස, ක්‍රිෂ්මාල් ප්‍රනාන්දු මහතා විසින් සහභාගිකයන් වෙත වේගවත් ප්‍රශ්න කිහිපයක් යොමු කලේ සියලු දෙනාම නිරතුරුව හා උද්‍යෝගිමත්ව තබා ගැනීමටය. මෙම අගනා මණ්ඩල සාකච්ඡාවෙන් පසුව RACUOCFMF Rtr හි සභාපති විශ්වි විජේතුංග විසින් ඔවුන්ගේ අගනා දායකත්වයට අපගේ කෘතඥතාව පළ කිරීම සඳහා සෑම විද්වත් මණ්ඩලයේ සභිකයන් හට ඇගයීමේ සංකේත ප්‍රදානය කරන ලදී. මෙම උනන්දුව දිගටම පවත්වා ගෙන යාමට සහ දවසේ කටයුතු සාරාංශ කිරීමට වර්චුසා ආයතනයේ ගරු ආරාධිත අධ්‍යක්ෂ සම්පත් තිරිමාවිතාන මහතා විසින් අවසාන ප්‍රධාන දේශනය පවත්වනු ලැබුවේ, අනාගත අභිවෘද්ධිය පිළිබඳ බලාපොරොත්තුවෙන් පැවති ඵලදායි සාකච්ඡාවේ සාරාංශයක් වශයෙනි. කළමනාකරණ අධ්‍යයනය වැනි පුළුල් ක්ෂේත්‍රයෙහි අපගේ උපාධි අපේක්ෂකයින් ආයතනික ලෝකයට සාර්ථකව සූදානම් කිරීම, ඔවුන්ගේ අධ්‍යයන කටයුතු ඔවුන්ගේ පෞද්ගලික හා වෘත්තීය අරමුණු සමඟ සමපාත කිරීම වැනි කරුණු පිළිබඳව දීර්ඝ සාකච්ඡාවකින් අනතුරුව RACUOCFMF හි සභාපති Rtr විශ්වි විජේතුංග විසින් සම්පත් තිරිමාවිතාන මහතා වෙත ඇගයීම් සංකේතයක් පිරිනැමීමත් සමඟ උත්සවය ඉතා උත්කර්ෂවත් ලෙස අවසන් විය.
Path Finder 2023 என்பது தொழில்முறை மேம்பாட்டு அவென்யூவால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு குழு கலந்துரையாடல், இது நவம்பர் 8 ஆம் தேதி காலை 10 மணி முதல் East wing கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. கணக்கியல், நிதி, சந்தைப்படுத்தல், மனித வள முகாமைத்துவம், விருந்தோம்பல் மற்றும் ஓய்வு முகாமைத்துவம் போன்ற துறைகளில் புதிதாக வரும் இளங்கலைப் பட்டதாரிகளுக்கு எதிர்கால வேலைக்கான வாய்ப்புக்கள் மற்றும் பாதைகள் பற்றிய தெளிவினை வழங்குவதை இது நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டிருந்தது. இந்த முன்முயற்சியானது, அந்தந்த துறைகளில் விரிவான அனுபவமுள்ள வல்லுநர்களால் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஒரு தகவல் அமர்வைக் கொண்டிருந்தது.
