Honoured and Sealed; Season 4 – Most Outstanding International Service Project of the Year

With the developments and trends at present, the world is connected as if it’s next door. Moreover, people have embraced their differences and made efforts to co-exist within the world. The International Services Avenue at Rotaract works for the same goal. To honor the efforts and contributions of the International Services projects during the year an award had been dedicated for the Most Outstanding International Services initiative of the year. The award was awarded to the club with the most notable international collaboration and for the project which had a significant contribution to the well-being of the global community. The gold award for the Most Outstanding International Services initiative was secured by the project Ralithi of the the Rotaract Club of Faculty of Science, University of Colombo.

Project Ralithi is a signature project by them and is a project for a good cause. The focus of the project has been on serving the children of marginalized communities in Sri Lanka and foreign countries alike while garnering the support of foreign Rotaract clubs and non-Rotaract clubs. Accordingly, it included an exchange of stories between the clubs written either by the club members or by authors of respective countries. The aim was to facilitate mutual cultural understanding between countries. Moreover, these short stories were transformed into audiobooks so that they could be utilized by blind or visually impaired students around the world. This creative initiative of making a positive contribution to the world made the project Ralithi the front-runner for the award of the Most Outstanding IS initiative for the RI year 2022-23.වර්තමාන ලෝකයේ සංවර්ධනයන් සහ ප්‍රවණතා සමඟ, ලෝකය එකිනෙකා අතර මනා සම්බන්දතාවයකින් කටයුතු කරයි. එපමණක් නොව, මිනිසුන් ඔවුන්ගේ වෙනස්කම් හදුනා ගෙන ලෝකය තුළ සහජීවනයෙන් සිටීමට උත්සාහ කරයි. Rotaract හි International Services Avenue එකම අරමුණක් සඳහා ක්‍රියා කරයි. වර්ෂය තුළ International Services projects සදහා සිදු කල දායකත්වයට ගෞරව කිරීම සඳහා වසරේ විශිෂ්ටතම ජාත්‍යන්තර සේවා වැඩසටහන සඳහා වන සම්මානය දිනා ඇත. වඩාත්ම කැපී පෙනෙන ජාත්‍යන්තර සහයෝගීතාවය ඇති සමාජය සහ ගෝලීය ප්‍රජාවේ යහපැවැත්මට සැලකිය යුතු දායකත්වයක් ලබා දුන් ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා මෙම සම්මානය පිරිනමන ලදී. කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ විද්‍යා පීඨ Rotaract සමාජයේ Ralithi ව්‍යාපෘතිය සදහා විශිෂ්ටතම ජාත්‍යන්තර සේවා වැඩසටහන සඳහා වන රන් සම්මානය හිමි විය.

Ralithi ව්‍යාපෘතිය ඔවුන් විසින් අත්සන් කරන ලද ව්‍යාපෘතියක් වන අතර එය යහපත් අරමුණක් සඳහා වූ ව්‍යාපෘතියකි. ව්‍යාපෘතියේ අවධානය යොමු වී ඇත්තේ විදේශීය Rotaract සමාජවල සහ Rotaract නොවන සමාජවල සහයෝගය ලබා ගනිමින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සහ විදේශීය රටවල අසරණ ප්‍රජාවන්ගේ දරුවන්ට එකසේ සේවය කිරීම කෙරෙහි ය. රටවල් අතර අන්‍යෝන්‍ය සංස්කෘතික අවබෝධයන්ට පහසුකම් සැලසීම මෙහි අරමුණ විය. එපමණක් නොව, මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය ලොව පුරා සිටින අන්ධ හෝ දෘශ්‍යාබාධිත සිසුන්ට ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගත හැකි වන පරිදි කෙටිකතා පොත් Audio පොත් බවට පරිවර්තනය කරන ලදී. ලෝකයට ධනාත්මක දායකත්වයක් ලබා දීම, මෙම නිර්මාණ වල අරමුණ වේ.

தற்போதைய வளர்ச்சிகள் மற்றும் போக்குகளுடன், உலகம் அடுத்தது போல் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும், மக்கள் தங்கள் வேறுபாடுகளைத் தழுவி, உலகிற்குள் இணைந்து வாழ முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர். ரோட்டாராக்டில் உள்ள சர்வதேச சேவைகள் அவென்யூவும் இதே நோக்கத்திற்காக செயல்படுகிறது. இந்த ஆண்டில் சர்வதேச சேவைகள் திட்டங்களின் முயற்சிகள் மற்றும் பங்களிப்புகளை கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில், இந்த ஆண்டின் மிகச் சிறந்த சர்வதேச சேவைகள் முயற்சிக்காக ஒரு விருது அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த விருது மிகவும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க சர்வதேச ஒத்துழைப்புடன் மற்றும் உலகளாவிய சமூகத்தின் நல்வாழ்வில் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பங்களிப்பைக் கொண்ட திட்டத்திற்காக கிளப்பிற்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது. சிறந்த சர்வதேச சேவைகள் முயற்சிக்கான தங்க விருதை கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் விஞ்ஞான பீட Rotaract club IS அவென்யூவின் Project Ralithi பெற்றுக் கொண்டது.

Ralithi திட்டம் அவர்களின் பிரதான திட்டம் மற்றும் ஒரு நல்ல நோக்கத்திற்கான திட்டம். இந்த திட்டத்தின் கவனம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு சேவை செய்வதில் உள்ளது. வெளிநாட்டு Rotaract கழகங்கள் மற்றும் Rotaract அல்லாத சங்கங்களின் ஆதரவைப் பெறும் அதே வேளையில் இலங்கை மற்றும் வெளிநாடுகளில் உள்ள விளிம்புநிலை சமூகங்கள். அதன்படி, கிளப் உறுப்பினர்களால் அல்லது அந்தந்த நாடுகளின் ஆசிரியர்களால் எழுதப்பட்ட கிளப்புகளுக்கு இடையிலான கதைகளின் பரிமாற்றம் இதில் அடங்கும். நாடுகளுக்கு இடையே பரஸ்பர கலாச்சார புரிதலை எளிதாக்குவதே இதன் நோக்கமாக இருந்தது. மேலும், இந்த சிறுகதைகள் ஒலிப்புத்தகங்களாக மாற்றப்பட்டன, இதனால் அவை உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள பார்வையற்ற மாணவர்களால் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. இந்த படைப்பு உலகிற்கு நேர்மறையான பங்களிப்பை வழங்குவதற்கான முன்முயற்சி, RI ஆண்டு 2022-23க்கான மிகச் சிறந்த IS முன்முயற்சிக்கான விருதிற்கு Ralithi திட்டத்தை முன்னோடியாக மாற்றியது.Many thanks to all our fellow clubs and Rotaractors who shared their tales of victory with us.
