CAPTAIN ABOARD

Captain of a ship is not just the person who stands at the ship’s wheel, turning it right and left, but it is he/she who directs the whole ship while being accountable for everything from that point onward. Spotting such potential captains within the club, Project Upgrade extended its initiative to the third phase as Captain Aboard in the attempt of carving their leadership skills, facilitating them to present their creativity in the form of Project Ideas and enhancing their confidence in leading a crew.

The project commenced with the ‘Leadership Development Workshop’, virtually on the 23rd of October 2021, which was interactively conducted by PP. Shehani Leo with the participation of fellow club members. The session comprised of a variety of interesting activities, creating a platform for the audience to come up with their perspectives on leadership and bringing out that captain within them. It was then spiced up with more insights by PP. Shehani Leo where she shared her personal experience with regards to leadership. The session concluded successfully, moving on further towards another stimulating session.

Inviting all those enthusiastic captains once again to hop on for another fabulous sail, Captain Aboard was ready with another insightful session, ‘Getting Leadership Right’ with Mr. Tharindu Amarasekara on Public Speaking, Communication skills and Personal branding, which is together an essence of leadership. The session was virtually held on the 30th of October, with a bunch of engaging individuals directing them to sail beyond that horizon.

Amidst these sessions, Captain Aboard did not miss to inspire the crowd more by setting the stage for their creativity and confidence through the Project Idea Competition, where any and every project idea that came to your mind was most welcomed, and they could be presented via a google form which consisted of questions that beautifully drew the idea into a complete picture of a project. The competition was opened up to the members on the 1st of November 2021, with a deadline for the submissions on the 7th of November 2021.

While the competition continued, the final virtual session, ‘Leading the Change’ with PP. Krishan Balaji was held on the 3rd of November 2021, which walked the participants through the concept of change management, marking that change is not to lead you, but you are to lead the change! The session mainly had, time management and people management at the spotlight in the evening and wound up with a reminder on the project idea competition.

After a smooth sail, Captain Aboard was back to the shore with the three winners who came up with the best ideas, namely, Rtr. Hashini Peduruarachchi for the overall best idea, Rtr. Ovini Gunathilaka for the most innovative Idea, and Rtr. Fathima Sajidha for the most sustainable idea. Cheers to the winners who were awarded with amazing gifts, a valuable certificate, and the overall best idea winner would be given the chance of bringing her idea into operation under her captainship. Mapping another exciting sail for the best, Captain Aboard concluded its initiative victoriously, paving the route for fellow members to ahead as confident leaders!

නායකයින්ගෙන් ඔවුන්ගේ නිර්මාණශීලිත්වය ව්‍යාපෘති අදහස් ආකාරයෙන් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට සහ කණ්ඩායමක්  මෙහෙයවීම හා  ඔවුන්ගේ විශ්වාසය වැඩි කිරීමට ඉල්ලා සිටිනු ඇත. කපිතාන්වරයා යනු මුළු නැව මෙහෙයවන පුද්ගලයායවන අතර  නැවෙහි  සියලුම චලනයන් සඳහා වගකිව යුතු වේ . Project Upgrade විසින් Captain Aboard ලෙස තුන්වන අදියර දක්වා එහි මුලපිරීම දීර්ඝ කර ඇත. Rtr.PP ෂෙහානි ලියෝ විසින් අන්තර්ක්‍රියාකාරීව මෙහෙයවන ලද ‘නායකත්ව සංවර්ධන වැඩමුළුව’ සමඟින් ව්‍යාපෘතිය ආරම්භ විය. ප්‍රසිද්ධියේ කතා කිරීම, සන්නිවේදන කුසලතා සහ පුද්ගලික සන්නාමකරණය පිළිබඳව තරිඳු අමරසේකර මහතා සමඟ Getting Leadership Right’ ලෙස , තවත් අවබෝධාත්මක සැසියක් ඔක්තෝබර් 30 වැනි දින පැවැත්විණි. Captain Aboard විසින් ව්‍යාපෘති අදහස් තරඟය සඳහා වේදිකාව සකසා දුන් අතර, සාමාජිකයින්ට ඔවුන්ගේ ව්‍යාපෘති අදහස් ගූගල් පෝරමය හරහා ඉදිරිපත් කළ හැකිවිය   ව්‍යාපෘති අදහස් තරඟයේ අවසාන සැසිය වූ ‘Leading the Change’, 2021 නොවැම්බර් 3 වන දින, වෙනස් කළමණාකරණය පිළිබඳ සංකල්පය සමඟ PP.ක්‍රිෂාන් බාලාජිවිසින් මෙහෙයවනු ලැබීය. සැසියේ ප්‍රධාන වශයෙන් කාල කළමනාකරණය සහ  පුද්ගලයින් කළමනාකරණය සඳහා අවධානය  විය. Captain Aboard එහි යාත්‍රා කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනේ ජයග්‍රාහකයන් වන, සමස්ත හොඳම අදහස සඳහා Rtr. හෂිනි පේදුරුආරච්චි,  වඩාත් නව්‍ය අදහස සඳහා  Rtr. Ovini Gunathilaka, සහ වඩාත්ම තිරසාර අදහස සඳහා Rtr. ෆාතිමා සජිදා සමඟ නිමාවිය . ජයග්‍රාහකයින්ට ඔවුන්ගේ නායකත්වය යටතේ ඔවුන්ගේ අදහස් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙන ලදී.

கழகத்திலுள்ள திறமையான தலைவர்களை கண்டறிந்து அவர்களின் தலைமைத்துவ திறன்களை செதுக்கும் நோக்கில், அப்கிரேட் செயற்றிட்டத்தின் மூன்றாவது கட்டமாக கேப்டன் அபோர்ட் ஒழுங்குச் செய்யப்பட்டது.
2021 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 23 ஆம் திகதி ‘தலைமை மேம்பாட்டுப் பட்டறை’ Rtr.PP ஷெஹானி லியோவால் சக கழக உறுப்பினர்களின் பங்கேற்புடன் நடத்தப்பட்டது. பொதுப் பேச்சு, தொடர்பாடல் திறன் மற்றும் தனிப்பட்ட வர்த்தகம் குறித்த மற்றொரு நுண்ணறிவுமிக்க அமர்வு திரு. தரிந்து அமரசேகரவினால் அக்டோபர் 30 ஆம் திகதி நடைப்பெற்றது. இறுதி நிகழ்நிலை அமர்வு பிபி கிரிஷான் பாலாஜியின் தலைமையில் நவம்பர் 3, 2021 நடைபெற்றது. அமர்வில் முக்கியமாக, மாற்ற முகாமைத்துவம், நேர முகாமைத்துவம் மற்றும் மக்கள் முகாமைத்துவம் பற்றி கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டது.
இந்த அமர்வுகளுக்கு மத்தியில், ‘ப்ராஜெக்ட் ஐடியா’ போட்டியின் மூலம் கழகத்தினரின் படைப்பாற்றல் மற்றும் தன்னம்பிக்கைக்கான களம் அமைக்கப்பட்டது.
