Center Stage 2024 – Rtr. IPP Gajaba Senaratne

In our climactic conclusion to the 2024 Edition of Center Stage, we are honored to host a distinguished member of the Rotaract community. The individual’s exemplary leadership and profound commitment to philanthropic causes have not only motivated his Rotaract colleagues but have also positively influenced various communities. We had the pleasure of welcoming Rtr. IPP Gajaba Senaratne, serving as the Joint Director of Community Service, for an engaging chat with Rtr. Shenya Chandrasiri. Make sure you catch this enthralling exchange as we take a deep dive into Rtr. IPP Gajaba Senaratne’s inspiring path and discover aspects of his life that are rarely shared with the public.

Here are some questions we asked him, and his thoughtful answers to them:

What would you say is one of the biggest life lessons you learnt from Rotaract?

I think it is valid for all undergraduates at our university.  ‘networking’ – I think the opportunities and the platforms that you get through Rotaract to network with other members and other third parties that you get involved when you do projects and other stuffs in Rotaract that is very much important. And all other I mean like values the skills and connections that you get from Rotaract those things you cannot get from the curricular that you get in university, those things are the most important thing that involves Rotaract.

What is the advice you would give someone who joined Rotaract recently about balancing academics, Rotaract, and other commitments in life?

Right. Wider question. So, I would say so. Academic is also important. But during my four years at university what I thought was because after you go out from the university you don’t remember anything you know regarding things that you learnt but the fun memories that you did through four years and those things happened because of Rotaract. So, What I say that is that involve you know the projects, activities and everything in Rotaract everything in university but balance all out. You know. You might have jobs, you might have other… know educational, professional whatever at university going around in life. But balance it all out. Balance it in a way that you enjoy what you are doing at the movement. Don’t just focus on you know doing educational don’t just focus on only Rotaract as well. Balance it all out but enjoy the four years of university and enjoy by balancing.

And with this final episode, it is time to officially wrap up CENTER STAGE 2024! Stay tuned for a more exciting interview series in the upcoming year.
