Here are a few more questions we asked him, and his thoughtful answers to them:

How will you define a leader in the context of Rotaract?

A leader is someone who needs to be very empathetic and understands what others are going through. Especially in terms of Rotaract, everyone is volunteering. You’re not paying anyone to be here. So the people in the room here are volunteering, coming out, and spending their own time. So you have to understand what each and every one is going through, what they’re really good at, and try to empower them and get the best out of them. That’s what ideally a leader should do.

What was the coolest project completed by RACUOCFMF in your view?

A lot of projects. I really like Center Stage. The first thing, once we revived it. I was the chair person, I was the editor, I was the president and here I am once more. So that’s something that I like. And again I like Gamwardhanaya. I like the whole idea of staying over for a couple of nights and getting to work. That was a nice experience. And also the whole feeling with Vanajeeviyo. That was also very nice. A totally different kind of experience. So yeah, a few projects do pick out.

Stay tuned to find out who’ll take the CENTER STAGE next!
