Project Mission Compassion was initiated with regards to Christmas 2021 with the intention of celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. This great cause was carried out under the Community Services Avenue of RACUOCFMF and was focused on giving out some Christmas gifts to children in need, in order to make their day a much better one. The main intention of the project was to work together to make an innocent Christmas wish come true.
The project commenced around the 2nd of December, 2021 and the first main task was to select the most appropriate location for everyone to carry out the project. After many discussions, the committee decided to go ahead with the Ja-Ela Pamunugama Girls’ Development Centre. This is an orphanage with around 40 girls in the age group of 8-19. After the place was confirmed the ‘Stay Tuned’ post was posted on all social media platforms on the 11th of December.
After contacting the centre a list of items that were required by the children was received which included dolls, hair bands, chocolates, bata slippers, perfumes and badminton rackets. The first donation post was shared on the 17th of December which included this list of items along with the names of the children who requested them. The donation details were included in the post so that the donors can directly donate their proceedings. This was followed by a general donation post on the 20th of December with the donation details.
It was great to see the enthusiasm of the club members as well as outsiders to donate and contribute, in order for the committee to reach the target amount. The final donation post was posted on the 22nd of December which included the remaining items in need. With the immense support of everyone, we were able to collect an amount of Rs. 22,000 which was then used in buying these gifts.
The gifts were bought by the committee members and the wrapping of the gifts were done on the 24th of December. A small handwritten note was included in all the gifts with a message and a Christmas wish for the children. Finally, the gifts were handed out to the children at the Ja-Ela Pamunugama Girls’ development centre on the 26th of December by the committee members along with President Rtr. Arshad Ismail and Secretary Rtr. Oshadi.
Just like that Project Mission Compassion was successfully brought to an end. The success of this project was measured by nothing else other than the smiles of the children after they received their Christmas gifts. Nothing is as meaningful as gifting a little child something useful for Christmas.
Christmas is truly Christmas when we celebrate giving the light of love to those who need it the most which was exactly done under this great cause. Finally, a huge thank you goes out to everyone who contributed in whichever way possible to make this project a success. Every small effort goes a long way. If not for all your efforts this would not have been possible and we would not have been able to see the innocent smiles on the faces of these children.
2021-ம் ஆண்டு கிறிஸ்மஸ் பண்டிகையை, அதன் உன்னதமான அம்சத்திற்கு அமைய கொண்டாடும் முகமாக RACUOCFMF-ன் community development ஆவனியூவினால் மிஷன் கொம்பெஷன் எனும் திட்டம் அமுலாக்கப்பட்டது. தேவையுள்ள சிறுவர்களுக்கு நத்தார் பரிசுகள் வழங்கும் நோக்கத்தில் ஜாஎல அனாதை இல்ல சிறுமிகள் தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டனர். சிறுமிகளால் கோரப்பட்ட விடயங்களுக்கு அமைவாக நிதி திரட்டுவதற்கான சமூக வலைத்தள பதிவுகள் பகிரப்பட்டன. இதன் மூலம் கிடைக்கப்பெற்ற 22,000/=-ஐ கொண்டு பரிசுகள் வாங்கப்பட்டு, பொதி செய்யப்பட்டு, முறையே குழுஉறுப்பினர்கள், தலைவர் அர்ஷத் இஸ்மயில் மற்றும் செயலாளர் ஒஷதி டயஸினால் சிறுமிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டன.
අහිංසක නත්තල් පැතුමක් ඉටුකිරීම නත්තලේ සැබෑ අරුත විදහා දක්වයි. RACUOCFMF හි Community Service Avenue විසින් Mission Compassion ව්යාපෘතිය හරහා එලෙස Ja-Ela Pamunugama Girls’ development centre හි සිටින වයස අවුරුදු 8-19 ත් අතර සිටි ගැහැණු ලමුන් හතළිහකට ආසන්න ප්රමාණයකට නත්තල් තෑගි ලබාදීම තුළින් නත්තලේ අසිරිය ඔවුන්ටත් විඳගන්න අවස්ථාව සලසා දීම සාර්ථකව දෙසැම්බර් 26 වන දින සිදු කෙරුණි. මේ සඳහා සාමාජිකයන්ගේ මෙන්ම අන් පුද්ගලයින්ගෙන් ද නොයෙක් ආකාරයේ ආධාර සහ දායකත්වයන් ලැබුණු අතර ඒවා තුළින් ඒ අහිංසක ජීවිතවලට සිනහවක් ගෙන ඒමට සහය වූ ඔබ සැමට අපගේ හද පිරි ස්තුතිය!
