Ladies and gentlemen, let’s take a trip down memory lane and relive the exhilarating journey of “Wordsville 3.0”! The Rotaract Club of the University of Colombo, Faculty of Management and Finance, successfully organized the third annual edition of this grand event, where the magic of words was unleashed like never before.
“Wordsville 3.0” was an extraordinary project that captivated hearts and minds. It brought together talented individuals, both from schools and universities, to showcase their writing prowess and the power of their spoken words. From the moment the contest was announced, the excitement was palpable, and participants eagerly submitted their masterpieces, be it descriptive writing, short stories, creative writing, or soul-stirring poetry. But wait, there’s more! This year, “Wordsville 3.0” went beyond the written word and introduced a thrilling speech contest. Participants took to the stage, armed with their thoughts and passion, and delivered powerful speeches on topics close to their hearts. It was a celebration of eloquence, inspiration, and the art of persuasive communication.
“Wordsville 3.0” යනු හදවත් සහ සිත් ඇදගත් ව්යාපෘතියකි. එය ඔවුන්ගේ ලිවීමේ හැකියාව සහ ඔවුන්ගේ කතා කරන වචනවල බලය ප්රදර්ශනය කිරීම සඳහා පාසල් සහ විශ්ව විද්යාල යන දෙඅංශයෙන්ම දක්ෂ පුද්ගලයින් එක් කළේය. තරඟය ප්රකාශයට පත් කළ මොහොතේ සිට, තරගකරුවන්ගේ උද්යෝගය පැහැදිලි වූ අතර, සහභාගිවන්නන් උනන්දුවෙන් ඔවුන්ගේ විශිෂ්ට කෘති ඉදිරිපත් කළහ. එය විස්තරාත්මක ලිවීම, කෙටිකතා, නිර්මාණාත්මක ලිවීම හෝ කවි විය. නමුත් ඉන්න, තව තියෙනවා! මෙම වසරේ “Wordsville 3.0” ලිඛිත වචනයෙන් ඔබ්බට ගොස් ත්රාසජනක කථික තරඟයක් හඳුන්වා දෙන ලදී. සහභාගිවන්නන් ඔවුන්ගේ සිතුවිලි සහ ආශාවන්ගෙන් සන්නද්ධ වූ අතර, ඔවුන්ගේ හදවතට සමීප මාතෘකා පිළිබඳ බලවත් කතාවන් ඉදිරිපත් කළහ. එය කථිකත්වය, ආශ්වාදය සහ ඒත්තු ගැන්වීමේ සන්නිවේදනයේ කලාව සැමරීමක් විය.
“Wordsville 3.0” இதயத்தையும் மனதையும் கவர்ந்த ஒரு அசாதாரண திட்டமாகும். இது பள்ளிகள் மற்றும் பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் இருந்து திறமையான நபர்களை ஒன்றிணைத்தது, அவர்களின் எழுதும் திறனையும் அவர்கள் பேசும் வார்த்தைகளின் ஆற்றலையும் வெளிப்படுத்தியது. போட்டி அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட தருணத்திலிருந்து, உற்சாகம் தெளிவாக இருந்தது, மேலும் பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் தங்கள் தலைசிறந்த படைப்புகளை ஆர்வத்துடன் சமர்ப்பித்தனர் – அது விளக்கமான எழுத்து, சிறுகதைகள், படைப்பு எழுத்து அல்லது ஆன்மாவைத் தூண்டும் கவிதை. ஆனால் காத்திருங்கள், இன்னும் இருக்கிறது! இந்த ஆண்டு, “Wordsville 3.0” எழுத்துப்பூர்வ வார்த்தைகளைத் தாண்டி, பரபரப்பான பேச்சுப் போட்டியை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் தங்கள் எண்ணங்கள் மற்றும் ஆர்வத்தால் ஆயுதம் ஏந்தியபடி மேடைக்கு வந்தனர், மேலும் அவர்களின் இதயங்களுக்கு நெருக்கமான தலைப்புகளில் சக்திவாய்ந்த உரைகளை வழங்கினர். இது பேச்சுத்திறன், உத்வேகம் மற்றும் வற்புறுத்தும் தகவல்தொடர்பு கலை ஆகியவற்றின் கொண்டாட்டமாக இருந்தது.
Once the submission period ended, the task of evaluation began. A dedicated team of evaluators meticulously reviewed each entry, immersing themselves in the vibrant tapestry of words woven by the participants. They sought that spark, that unique blend of creativity and expression that would set the winners apart from the rest. The competition was fierce, as every piece showcased the immense talent and dedication of the participants.
Finally, the moment arrived when the winners were revealed, and the stage was set for the grand Awarding Ceremony. On the 28th of May 2023, the East Wing Auditorium of the Faculty of Management and Finance at the University of Colombo transformed into a vibrant space brimming with excitement. Participants, faculty members, and distinguished guests gathered to honor and celebrate the achievements of the top three writers in each category, across all three languages, as well as the outstanding speeches that left a lasting impact.
The atmosphere was electric as the winners took the stage, basking in the well-deserved applause and admiration of the audience. Their talent and dedication were recognized and celebrated, serving as a testament to the power of words to inspire, provoke thought, and create connections. It was a moment of triumph, a celebration of the transformative impact that the written and spoken word can have on our lives.
Looking back, “Wordsville 3.0” stands as a shining example of the transformative power of words. It provided a platform for talented individuals to showcase their creativity, ignite their passions, and make their voices heard. It brought together a community of writers and speakers who shared a common love for language and the art of expression.
