The Rotaract Club of Pearl Island stepped into yet another prenominal year ahead with the 4th Installation Ceremony which was held vibrantly on the 21st of September at hotel Sapphire, Colombo 06 from 6.00 pm onwards, signifying a brand new journey for Rtr. Sajjaad Ahamed and his fantastic team for the upcoming RI year ahead.
Representing RACUOCFMF a team headed by Rtr. Gajaba Senaratne comprising of Rtr. Sandasi Senaratne, Rtr. Senuli Perera, Rtr. Nethmi Perera, Rtr. Pulani Mendris, Rtr. Prathiba Fernando, Rtr. Chathurangri Mahagamage, Rtr. Thinuri Mendis, Rtr. Tharumini Punchihewa and Rtr. Binuri Dasanayake attended the ceremony to congratulate the upcoming board of directors for a fantastic year ahead.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional formalities of welcoming the dignitaries and well-wishers, calling the house to order, lighting the oil lamp, followed by reciting the Flag Salutation, Rotaract Invocation, the Four-way test and the Rotaract song. After the Rotaract formalities were completed, an enthusiastic welcome address was delivered by Rtr. Imaad Alvan and Rtr. Kunathman Muralitharan.
Following the welcome address, the remaining events for the evening continued on a high note starting off by showing the audience a wonderful video compiling the past memories of the Rotarcat Club of Pearl Island followed by an address to the audience by the Outgoing President Rtr. Santhush Kasthurisinghe who highlighted the accomplishments of the club carried out in the past year despite the ongoing economic crisis alongside the devastating impact of the pandemic.
Following the heartfelt address by the outgoing president who officially signed off for the RI year 2021-22, the glorious moment of collaring the new president Rtr. Sajjaad Ahamed who will be taking on the reigns to carry on the legacy of the Rotaract Club of Pearl Island for the RI year 2022-2023, took place.
A hilarious video introducing the newly crowned president of the club was met with a roar of laughter from the audience along with an invite to address the gathering. During a heartfelt address delivered wonderfully by the Incoming President Rtr. Sajjaad Ahamed, he was excited to deliver the wonderful news of officially launching the website for the Rotaract Club of Pearl Island which was met with a round of applause.
Finally, it was time for the highly anticipated moment of the evening which was the crowning of the new Board of Directors which was as follows.

The highlight of the evening turned out to be a glorious entertainment act performed by Rtr. Shimar Ahamed that truly brought life to the audience and made the evening truly memorable.
The next item on the agenda was inviting the Chief Guest for the evening, President of Rotaract club of Colombo Uptown, Rtn. Rtr. Dilan Silva to address the gathering. The enthusiastically delivered and highly inspirational address delivered was then met with a round of applause from the audience, followed by handing over tokens of appreciation to the dignitaries by the newly appointed president and secretaries of the club.
The event for the night ended on a very high note with a series of thoughtful felicitations delivered by fellow Rotaractors and friends of Rotaract ending off with a brilliant vote of thanks delivered by Rtr. Shenaya Fazlina and Rtr. Shanahhani Ruuarajan.
