A New Era Begins: Annual General Meeting 2024

On the 13th of July 2024, the Leo Youth Centre buzzed with anticipation as the Rotaract club of University of Colombo, faculty of management and finance held its annual transition meeting. Starting at 10 AM, the event marked a significant milestone, featuring the appointment of a new board of directors and executive members. The meeting was not only a platform for administrative changes but also an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding contributions of past board members. The event was graced by the presence of past board members who were acknowledged for their dedication and exemplary work. The newly appointed board of directors and executive members were also in attendance, ready to embark on their new roles and responsibilities. The meeting agenda served as a roadmap for the event, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition process. It likely included key items such as:

  • Rotaract Formalities: The meeting commenced with the standard formalities, setting a professional tone for the proceedings.
  • Address by the Outgoing President: The outgoing president thanked the board of directors, highlighting the main projects they successfully completed such as Sisuwara, What Next, and Hadee Veena. Special mentions were made to Gajaba Aiyya and the secretary for their unwavering support.
  • Address by the Outgoing Secretary: The outgoing secretary emphasized the importance of maintaining the spirit of tension and growth within the club.
