Every great adventure begins with a first step. For many new students at the University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance, that step was INCEPTION’25, the much-awaited annual orientation program of the Rotaract Club of University Of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance.
Organized by the Membership Development Avenue, INCEPTION ’25 was designed to warmly welcome and introduce new members to the amazing world of Rotaract. We know that many fresh faces often don’t fully understand what Rotaract is all about or how the club works. That’s why this event was specially designed to be the perfect gateway. A chance to get to know the club culture, meet the leaders, and discover the exciting projects planned for the year.
This time, INCEPTION’25 was held as a lively online session, so everyone could join easily and safely from wherever they were. The main highlight was introducing the Board of Officials, the faces behind the club, and explaining the different avenues and their upcoming projects. But this wasn’t just any boring introduction! To make the session fun and full of energy, we kicked things off with a super engaging quiz game. New members competed in a friendly battle of wits. To add some extra energy, one of our board members also performed a song, filling the session with joy and enthusiasm.
The magic of INCEPTION’25 didn’t happen overnight. Planning started way back in July, when the Membership Avenue Directors took charge as event leaders. To reach as many students as possible, a smart and creative promotion plan was rolled out. Colorful and eye-catching flyers were shared through WhatsApp and Instagram, spreading the word quickly across batches. But that was not all, the directors also visited first-year lecture halls in person to personally invite students, explain why Rotaract is such an incredible experience, and highlight the benefits of joining. Plus, posters were placed around the faculty to grab attention and build curiosity.
Thanks to all this hard work, INCEPTION’25 became more than just an orientation, it was a warm, welcoming place where new members felt valued, excited, and ready to dive into the Rotaract journey. The event built strong connections right from the start and set the stage for an unforgettable year filled with learning, service, friendship, and growth.
For the newcomers, INCEPTION’25 was not only about learning what Rotaract is but about feeling part of a family. It’s a group of passionate, driven people ready to make a difference together. As the new Rotaractors step into this fresh chapter, full of energy and ideas, they carry with them the spirit of INCEPTION’25, a powerful beginning to a fantastic journey ahead!
Get ready, the Rotaract adventure has officially begun!
