The Rotaract Club of the University of Uva Wellassa proudly celebrated its 13th Installation Ceremony, an event filled with inspiration, gratitude, and cultural elegance.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome and the address by the outgoing President Pavithre Wickramarathna , followed by an enlightening speech delivered by ADRC Rtn. Ipp Mohamed Rehan, who highlighted the significance of leadership and service in the Rotaract movement.
Adding a vibrant touch to the evening, an entertainment item a captivating dance performance delighted the audience, showcasing the rich cultural spirit of the club.
The stage then welcomed the Guest of Honor, Rtn. Deepal Jayasekara, who shared motivating insights and praised the club’s consistent dedication toward community service and fellowship. This was followed by the Chief Guest and Academic Advisor’s speech, which emphasized the importance of leadership development and the role of Rotaract in shaping future leaders.
A key moment of the evening was the announcement of the Board Members and Avenue Chairs for the new term, marking the beginning of a promising journey of service and commitment.
To express gratitude, tokens of appreciation were presented by the President Danindu Thidas and the Immediate Past President, recognizing the contributions of those who made this event and the previous term a success. The vote of thanks was delivered by Joint Secretary Sujayee Ranasinghe, extending appreciation to all who supported the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with the formal termination by the President, leaving the audience inspired and optimistic about the club’s future endeavors.
Congratulations to the newly appointed Executive Committee Elect of the Rotaract Club of Uva Wellassa University Badulla for the RI year 2024–25. The committee will be led by President Rtr. Danidu Thidas, supported by Vice Presidents Rtr. Senumi Hiranya, Rtr. Prabath Wijepala, Rtr. Dhananjith Swarnahansa, and Rtr. Lakindu Umagiliya.
The team also includes Joint Secretaries Rtr. Sujavee Ranasinghe and Rtr. Lowamini Prabhashika, Sergeant at Arms Rtr. Lakshan Bulathsinhala, and Treasurer Rtr. Ravindu Wijesinghe. Wishing the team a successful and impactful year ahead!
