On April 25, 2026, at the Maithree Children Development Center, Colombo 08, we organised a sinhala and tamil new year festival for the children under the name Ale Avurudu 4.0 . Organized in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Green City. We aimed to bring festive joy of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year to children, creating festive vibes and joy to be memorable.
The day commenced with the auspicious “Kiri Ithiriweema” ceremony and the lighting of the traditional oil lamp by the Centre’s Chairman, Mr. Aruna Serasinghe, alongside Rotaract leaders. This was followed by a feast at the Kavili Table, where children enjoyed traditional treats like kavum, kokis, and kiribath.
Then the traditional games began. With laughter and energy filled we started “Eye to elephant” , “Balloon Blast” , “Balloon dance” Best cry”, “Eating buns”, “Lime on spoon”, “Musical chairs” and a hilarious “Best Laugh” contest. The highlight of the day was where the children performed a rhythmic dance to the popular Avurudu song, “Ala Purannata.” The games concluded by holding “Avurudu kumari “contest.
The sucess of the day was active participation of executive members and dedicated committee members ensure every thing was perfect. The day concluded by giving gifts to all the children. Proposed by Avenue Directors Rtr. Savidya and Rtr. Trilochana, and led by Co-Chairs Rtr. Akashani and Rtr. Hirushi, the project was really a teamwork. Ale Avurudu 4.0 ended not as an event, but as a beautiful symbol of empathy, and the true spirit of Rotaract.
2026 අප්රේල් 25 වන දින, කොළඹ 08 හි Maithree Children Development Center හිදී “Ale Avurudu 4.0” නමින් සිංහල හා දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුදු උත්සවයක් සංවිධානය කරන ලදී. මෙය Coimbatore Green City Rotaract සමාජය සමඟ එක්ව ක්රියාත්මක කරන ලද ව්යාපෘතියකි. මෙම වැඩසටහනේ අරමුණ වූයේ සිංහල හා දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුදු උත්සවයේ සතුට දරුවන් සමඟ බෙදා ගැනීම සහ ඔවුන්ට මතකයේ රැඳෙන සතුටුදායක අත්දැකීමක් ලබා දීමයි.
මෙම දිනය ආරම්භ වූයේ සුභ “කිරි ඉතිරිවීම” චාරිත්රය සහ සාම්ප්රදායික තෙල් පහන් දැල්වීමෙන්ය. එය මධ්යස්ථානයේ සභාපති අරුණ සෙරසිංහ මහතා සහ Rotaract නායකයන්ගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් සිදු විය. අනතුරුව, කැවිලි මේසයේදී කවුම්, කොකිස් සහ කිරිබත් වැනි සම්ප්රදායික ආහාර රසවිඳීමට දරුවන්ට අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙන ලදී.
ඊට පසු සාම්ප්රදායික ක්රීඩා ආරම්භ විය. සිනාවෙන් සහ උද්යෝගයෙන් පිරුණු වාතාවරණයක් තුළ “අලියාට ඇස තැබීම”, “බැලුන් පිපිරවීම”, “බැලුන් නර්තනය”, “හොඳම ඇඩීම”, “බනිස් කෑම තරඟය”, “හැන්දේ දෙහි ගෙන යාම”, “සංගීත පුටු තරඟය” සහ “හොඳම සිනාව” තරඟය පැවැත්විය. දවසේ විශේෂ අවස්ථාව වූයේ දරුවන් ජනප්රිය අවුරුදු ගීතයක් වන “Ala Purannata”ට අනුව නර්තනයක් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමයි. ක්රීඩා අවසන් වූයේ “අවුරුදු කුමාරි” තරඟය සමඟය.
මෙම වැඩසටහනේ සාර්ථකත්වයට ප්රධාන හේතුව වූයේ විධායක සාමාජිකයන් සහ කැපවූ කමිටු සාමාජිකයන්ගේ ක්රියාකාරී සහභාගීත්වයයි. අවසානයේ දරුවන්ට තෑගි බෙදා දීමෙන් වැඩසටහන නිමාවට පත්විය. Avenue Directors වන Rtr. Savidya සහ Rtr. Trilochana විසින් යෝජනා කර, Co-Chairs වන Rtr. Akashani සහ Rtr. Hirushi විසින් නායකත්වය දරන ලද මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය සැබවින්ම කණ්ඩායම් උත්සාහයක ප්රතිඵලයක් විය. Ale Avurudu 4.0 සරල උත්සවයක් පමණක් නොව, දයාබරත්වය සහ Rotaract ආත්මය නිරූපණය කළ සුන්දර මතකයක් විය.
2026 ஏப்ரல் 25 அன்று, கொழும்பு 08 இல் அமைந்துள்ள Maithree Children Development Center இல் “Ale Avurudu 4.0” என்ற பெயரில் சிங்கள மற்றும் தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு விழா ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது. இந்த திட்டம் Coimbatore Green City Rotaract கழகத்துடன் இணைந்து நடத்தப்பட்டது. இந்த நிகழ்வின் நோக்கம், சிங்கள மற்றும் தமிழ் புத்தாண்டின் மகிழ்ச்சியை குழந்தைகளுடன் பகிர்ந்து, அவர்களுக்கு மறக்க முடியாத அனுபவத்தை வழங்குவதாகும்.
நாள் சிறப்பான “கிரி இதிரிவீம” நிகழ்ச்சியுடன் தொடங்கி, பாரம்பரிய எண்ணெய் விளக்கேற்றும் நிகழ்வு மையத்தின் தலைவர் திரு. அருணா செரசிங்கே மற்றும் Rotaract தலைவர்களின் பங்கேற்புடன் நடைபெற்றது. பின்னர், கவிலி மேசையில் குழந்தைகள் கவுன், கொக்கிஸ் மற்றும் கிரிபாத் போன்ற பாரம்பரிய உணவுகளை ருசித்தனர்.
அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டுகள் தொடங்கின. சிரிப்பும் உற்சாகமும் நிறைந்த சூழலில் “கண்களை மூடி யானையை வரைவது”, “பலூன் வெடிப்பு”, “பலூன் நடனம்”, “சிறந்த அழுகை”, “பன் சாப்பிடும் போட்டி”, “கரண்டியில் எலுமிச்சை எடுத்துச் செல்லுதல்”, “இசை நாற்காலி போட்டி” மற்றும் “சிறந்த சிரிப்பு” போன்ற விளையாட்டுகள் நடைபெற்றன. நாளின் முக்கிய நிகழ்வாக, குழந்தைகள் “Ala Purannata” பாடலுக்கு நடனம் ஆடினர். இறுதியில் “Avurudu Kumari” போட்டியுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி நிறைவுற்றது.
இந்த நிகழ்வின் வெற்றிக்கு முக்கிய காரணம் நிர்வாக உறுப்பினர்கள் மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயல்பட்ட குழு உறுப்பினர்களின் பங்களிப்பாகும். நிகழ்வு குழந்தைகளுக்கு பரிசுகள் வழங்குவதன் மூலம் நிறைவுற்றது. Avenue Directors ஆன Rtr. Savidya மற்றும் Rtr. Trilochana அவர்களால் முன்மொழியப்பட்டு, Co-Chairs ஆன Rtr. Akashani மற்றும் Rtr. Hirushi அவர்களின் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த திட்டம் உண்மையான குழு முயற்சியாகும். Ale Avurudu 4.0 ஒரு நிகழ்வாக மட்டும் இல்லாமல், கருணை மற்றும் Rotaract ஆன்மாவின் அழகான வெளிப்பாடாக அமைந்தது.
