Rotaverse – Rtr. Dilum Weragoda (Vice President 2025-26)

My journey in Rotaract has been one of growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences. I first joined as a general member with the hope of meeting new people and , but over time, Rotaract became a platform that shaped my passion for service.

One of the most memorable milestones in my Rotaract journey was chairing Project Hade Veena 2.0, a musical event that brought together talent and creativity of undergraduates from our own faculty. From venue to music coordination and finally having the event day, Hade Veena made me test my capabilities and till day I still cherish it very dearly in my heart.

A proud highlight of this journey was the recognition the project received, winning both the Silver Award for “Most Ouststanding club service initiative – Fellowship” and Gold Award for  ” Most Outstanding Club Initiative – Inclusivity and Diviversity ” 34th Rotaract District Assembly.

Moving on, in the RI year 2024-25, I had the privilege of becoming the Co-director of the Club Services Avenue, overlooking the avenue and its projects. During my year we managed to complete several club service projects, bringing together so much of energy and passion from our club members.

As of today, in the RI year 2025-26, I serve as the Vice President of the club. Looking back at my Rotaract journey… wow. What a ride. Free labor, sleep deprivation, group chats at 1 AM and friendships that range from “ride or die” to “why are you still here?”. But hey, no regrets.

Rotaract gave me memories I’ll deny if you ever bring them up, and experiences that lowkey shaped my entire personality. Shoutout to everyone who dragged me into this chaos and everyone who survived being dragged by me.

To everyone who supported and worked alongside me, thank you for being part of this incredible chapter.
