Service has always been a part of who I am. Having walked this path since my Interactor days, stepping into the Rotaract Club of the University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance in 2023 felt less like a beginning and more like a continuation.
I began as a general member in 2023/24, eager to contribute and learn. That year, I had the privilege of chairing two projects under the Environmental Service Avenue, Cleansy 4.0 and Thelithuda, experiences that deepened my commitment to service and reminded me of the real difference a dedicated team can make.
The following year brought a new chapter as I joined the Board of Directors, serving as Co-Director of the Club Service Avenue. Leading from within the board shifted my perspective in ways I did not expect, teaching me that true leadership is as much about listening and supporting as it is about directing.
This year, as Assistant Treasurer, I have come to appreciate the quiet but crucial role that financial stewardship plays in bringing every vision to life. It is a responsibility I have embraced with full commitment, knowing that the trust placed in this role is what allows the club to move forward with confidence.
Every year has brought its own lessons, its own challenges, and its own moments worth holding onto. I am grateful for each one, and for the people who have made this journey so genuinely meaningful.
Here is to service, growth, and everything still to come.
