We will live by considering it a responsibility to fulfill our duties as possible for all the inhabitants of the world. All of us were for that purpose. The Rotaract club of Colombo Fort, started over its new mission on the 30th of September 2022, at the Disaster Management Centre Auditorium from 6 pm onward, with its 7th Installation Ceremony. The celebration started with the ritual lighting of the oil lamp, the National Anthem, and the Rotaract Pledge. After that, it moved forward with the Flag Salutation, Rotaract Invocation, Four-Way Test, and Rotaract Song.
The distinguished gathering was then welcomed by Rtr. PP Nazmi Mahamood, Co-Chair of the Installation, followed by the Secretary’s report for the RI year 2021-22, presented by the Outgoing Secretary Rtr. Nihansa Vidanapathirana. Her story was perfect with everything that happened over the course of a year.
Next, the Outgoing President Rtr. Omar Hussain was on stage to address his team and all Rotaractors for one last time as the President. He recalled everything he had achieved during his time. All who heard it confirmed them to be true. Also, he did not forget to thank all those who helped him during his tenure.
Next up were the most awaited moments of the day. That was to introduce the new president and it was none other than Rtr. Saajith Mukeeth. Always appearing with a beautiful smile, he was truly a beautiful man. He was introduced by a bunch of Rotaractors, adding a lot of laughter to the event. In the meantime, a video clip was played that showed greetings to the new president from fellow Rotaract clubs.
Amidst all this laughter Rtr. Saajid Mukeeth was sworn in as the new president. Next up, the Incoming President, Rtr. Saajid Mukeeth was on stage to address the gathering.
He first thanked everyone who wished him well. He said that all those good wishes made him happy and amused. At the end of the speech, he introduced the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for the RI year 2022-23, which was as follows.

Next up was the speech by the District Rotaract Representative, Rtn. Rtr. PP Ahamed Hussain, where he wished the newly appointed president and his board a great year ahead.
Marking a new milestone, the 7th Installation Ceremony of Rotaract Club of Colombo Fort came to an end with the felicitations done by the Rotaractors who represented their clubs. Marking the end of the proceedings, the Vote of Thanks was given by the Incoming Secretary, Incoming Secretary Rtr. Ruqaiyah which was followed by fellowship and refreshments.
