Every ending marks the beginning of something new. In Rotaract, every challenge overcome, every project completed and every friendship forged becomes a part of a journey worth celebrating. The 36th Rotaract District Assembly served as the perfect occasion to honour those milestones while welcoming a new chapter filled with fresh aspirations, renewed purpose and inspiring leadership.
On the 27th of June 2026, the elegant Taj Samudra became the gathering place for the Rotaract family of RID 3220 – Sri Lanka & Maldives, bringing together passionate leaders and dedicated changemakers from across the district. More than an annual tradition, the District Assembly symbolizes the close of one remarkable Rotaract year and the official commencement of another. The highlight of the event was the appointment and installation of the District Steering Committee for 2026-2027, representing the continuation of a legacy built on service, fellowship and leadership.
Among the many clubs recognized throughout the evening, Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance once again stood proudly among the very best. Through unwavering commitment, creativity and teamwork, the club earned an outstanding 10 awards alongside numerous recognitions, reflecting its continued excellence across multiple avenues of Rotaract.

One of the club’s proudest moments came through the continued success of the FMF Blog. Receiving the Gold Award for Most Outstanding Club Blog, the blog team reaffirmed its place as one of the district’s leading storytelling platforms. Every article, feature and project published throughout the year served as more than just content, it documented achievements, celebrated members, inspired readers and preserved the memories that define the spirit of Rotaract. This recognition stands as a tribute to the team’s consistency, creativity and dedication to meaningful storytelling.
As the district bid farewell to the inspiring leadership of Rtr. PP Nazmi Mahamood (District Rotaract Representative for 2025-2026), gratitude filled the room for a year shaped by vision, resilience and remarkable accomplishments. Carrying that legacy forward was PHF Rtn. Rtr. PP. Dr. Jude Shannon officially collared as the District Rotaract Representative for 2026-2027, accepting the responsibility of leading the district into another promising year.
As RID 3220 – Sri Lanka & Maldives embarks on another exciting chapter, we extend our warmest congratulations to PHF Rtn. Rtr. PP. Dr. Jude Shannon and the incoming District Steering Committee of 2026-2027. සෑම අවසානයක්ම නව ආරම්භයකට මඟ පාදයි. Rotaract හි ජයගත් සෑම අභියෝගයක්ම, සාර්ථකව නිම කළ සෑම ව්යාපෘතියක්ම සහ ගොඩනැගුණු සෑම මිත්රත්වයක්ම සැමරීමට වටිනා ගමනක මතකයන් බවට පත්වේ. එම සන්ධිස්ථාන අගය කරමින්, නැවුම් අභිලාෂයන්, අලුත් වූ අරමුණු සහ ආශ්වාදජනක නායකත්වයෙන් පිරි නව පරිච්ඡේදයක් පිළිගැනීමට 36 වන රොටරැක්ට් දිස්ත්රික් රැස්වීම කදිම අවස්ථාවක් විය.
2026 ජූනි 27 වන දින, ටාජ් සමුද්රා හෝටලය RID 3220 – Sri Lanka & Maldives හි රොටරැක්ට් පවුල එක්රැස් වූ සුවිශේෂී ස්ථානයක් බවට පත් විය. දිස්ත්රික්කය පුරා සිටින උද්යෝගිමත් නායකයින් සහ වෙනසක් ඇති කිරීමට කැපවූ රොටරැක්ටර්වරුන් එකම වහලක් යටට එක් කළ මෙම උත්සවය, වාර්ෂික සම්ප්රදායකට වඩා බොහෝ දේ නියෝජනය කළේය. එය එක් සුවිශේෂී රොටරැක්ට් වසරක නිමාවත්, තවත් වසරක නිල ආරම්භයත් සනිටුහන් කළ අවස්ථාවකි. උත්සවයේ ප්රධානතම අවස්ථාව වූයේ 2026–2027 වසර සඳහා දිස්ත්රික් මෙහෙයුම් කමිටුව නිල වශයෙන් පත් කිරීම සහ ස්ථාපනය කිරීමයි. එය සේවය, සහෝදරත්වය සහ නායකත්වය මත ගොඩනැගුණු උරුමය ඉදිරියට ගෙන යාමේ සංකේතයක් විය.
එහිදී Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance නැවත වරක් සිය ප්රමුඛත්වය සනිටුහන් කරමින් සිය ස්ථානය තහවුරු කළේය. නොසැලෙන කැපවීම, නිර්මාණශීලීත්වය සහ කණ්ඩායම් හැඟීමේ ප්රතිඵලයක් ලෙස සමාජය සම්මාන 10ක් සමඟ තවත් විශේෂ පිළිගැනීම් රැසක් හිමිකර ගනිමින්, රොටරැක්ට්හි විවිධ අංශ ඔස්සේ සිය අඛණ්ඩ විශිෂ්ටත්වය නැවතත් ප්රදර්ශනය කළේය.

එහි වඩාත් වැදගත් අවස්ථාවක් වූයේ FMF Blog හි අඛණ්ඩ සාර්ථකත්වයයි. “Gold Award for Most Outstanding Club Blog” රන් සම්මානය දිනාගනිමින්, FMF Blog කණ්ඩායම දිස්ත්රික්කයේ ප්රමුඛතම වේදිකාවක් ලෙස සිය ස්ථානය නැවතත් තහවුරු කළේය. වසර පුරා ප්රකාශයට පත් කළ සෑම ලිපියක්ම, විශේෂාංගයක්ම සහ ව්යාපෘති සටහනක්ම අන්තර්ගතයක් පමණක් නොවීය. ඒවා ජයග්රහණ සටහන් කළේය, සාමාජිකයින් ඇගයීමට ලක් කළේය, පාඨකයන්ට ආශ්වාදයක් ලබා දුන්නේය සහ රොටරැක්ට්හි සැබෑ ආත්මය විදහා දක්වන මතකයන් සුරැකිණි. මෙම පිළිගැනීම කණ්ඩායමේ අඛණ්ඩ කැපවීම, නිර්මාණශීලීත්වය සහ අර්ථවත් බව වෙනුවෙන් ලැබුණු ගෞරවනීය ඇගයීමකි.
2025–2026 වසරේ දිස්ත්රික් රොටරැක්ට් නියෝජිත Rtr. PP නස්මි මහමුද්ගේ ආශ්වාදජනක නායකත්වයට දිස්ත්රික්කය ගෞරවයෙන් සමුදුන් අතර, දැක්ම, ඔරොත්තු දීමේ හැකියාව සහ සුවිශේෂී ජයග්රහණවලින් හැඩගැසුණු වසරක් වෙනුවෙන් මුළු ශාලාවම කෘතඥතාවයෙන් පිරී තිබුණි. එම උරුමය ඉදිරියට ගෙන යමින් PHF Rtn. Rtr. PP ජූඩ් ෂැනන් මහතා 2026–2027 වසර සඳහා දිස්ත්රික් රොටරැක්ට් නියෝජිත ලෙස නිල වශයෙන් පත්වී, තවත් බලාපොරොත්තු සහගත වසරක් කරා දිස්ත්රික්කය මෙහෙයවීමේ වගකීම භාරගත්තේය.
RID 3220 – Sri Lanka & Maldives තවත් උද්යෝගිමත් පරිච්ඡේදයකට පිවිසෙන මෙම මොහොතේ, PHF Rtn. Rtr. PP ජූඩ් ෂැනන් මහතාට සහ 2026–2027 දිස්ත්රික් මෙහෙයුම් කමිටුවට අපගේ උණුසුම් සුබපැතුම් එක්කරමු. ඔබගේ නායකත්වය අර්ථවත් වෙනසක් ඇති කිරීමටත්, අපගේ සහෝදරත්වය තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීමටත්, සෑම රොටරැක්ටර්වරයෙකුටම තම ප්රජාව තුළ කල්පවතින බලපෑමක් ඇති කිරීමට ශක්තිය ලබා දීමටත් හේතු වේවායි ප්රාර්ථනා කරමු.
Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance සඳහා මෙම දිස්ත්රික් රැස්වීම සම්මාන සැමරීමකට වඩා බොහෝ දේ නියෝජනය කළේය. සැබෑ සාර්ථකත්වය පවතින්නේ ස්පර්ශ කළ ජීවිතවල, බිහිකළ නායකයින්ගේ ගමන්මඟෙහි සහ ඒ ගමනේ නිර්මාණය වූ කතාවල බව නැවත වරක් සිහිපත් කළ අවස්ථාවක් එය විය. කැපී පෙනෙන සේවා ව්යාපෘතිවල සිට සම්මානලාභී ප්රකාශන දක්වා, සමාජය දිස්ත්රික්කය තුළ සිය සුවිශේෂී සලකුණ තවදුරටත් තබමින් සිටී.
එක් පරිච්ඡේදයක් අලංකාර ලෙස නිමාවට පත්වන විට, තවත් පරිච්ඡේදයක් නිමක් නැති හැකියාවන් සමඟ ආරම්භ වේ. අරමුණින් යුත් සේවාව, අමතක නොවන මතකයන්, ආශ්වාදජනක නායකත්වය සහ වෙන කවරදාටත් වඩා දීප්තිමත් අනාගතයක් උදෙසා තවත් සාර්ථක වසරක් වෙත අපි බලාපොරොත්තු තබමු.
ஒவ்வொரு முடிவும் ஒரு புதிய தொடக்கத்திற்கான அடையாளமாகும். ரோட்டராக்டில், வெற்றிகரமாக சமாளிக்கப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு சவாலும், நிறைவு செய்யப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு திட்டமும், உருவான ஒவ்வொரு நட்பும் கொண்டாடத் தகுந்த ஒரு பயணத்தின் பகுதியாகும். 36வது மாவட்ட ரோட்டராக்ட் பொதுச் சபை, அந்த முக்கிய தருணங்களை கௌரவிப்பதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், புதிய இலக்குகள், புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட நோக்கம் மற்றும் ஊக்கமளிக்கும் தலைமைத்துவத்துடன் ஒரு புதிய அத்தியாயத்தை வரவேற்ற சிறந்த நிகழ்வாக அமைந்தது.
2026 ஜூன் 27ஆம் தேதி, கொழும்பிலுள்ள Taj Samudra ஹோட்டல், Rotary International District 3220-இன் ரோட்டராக்ட் குடும்பத்தினரின் சந்திப்பு மையமாக மாறியது. மாவட்டம் முழுவதிலிருந்தும் ஆர்வமிக்க தலைவர்களும், அர்ப்பணிப்புள்ள மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்குபவர்களும் ஒன்றுகூடியிருந்தனர். இது வெறும் வருடாந்திர நிகழ்வாக மட்டுமல்லாமல், ஒரு சிறப்பான ரோட்டராக்ட் ஆண்டின் நிறைவையும், புதிய ஆண்டின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ தொடக்கத்தையும் குறிக்கும் நிகழ்வாகும்.
இந்நிகழ்வின் முக்கிய அம்சமாக, 2026–2027 ஆண்டிற்கான District Steering Committee அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக பதவியேற்றது. சேவை, நட்பு மற்றும் தலைமைத்துவம் என்ற பாரம்பரியத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து முன்னெடுத்து செல்லும் பொறுப்பை அவர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
அன்று பல கழகங்கள் பாராட்டப்பட்ட நிலையில், RACUOCFMF மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை மாவட்டத்தின் சிறந்த கழகங்களில் ஒன்றாக திகழ்ந்தது. உறுதியான அர்ப்பணிப்பு, புதுமை மற்றும் குழுப்பணியின் பலனாக, கழகம் மொத்தம் 10 விருதுகளையும் பல்வேறு பாராட்டுகளையும் பெற்று, ரோட்டராக்டின் பல துறைகளில் தனது தொடர்ச்சியான சிறப்பை நிரூபித்தது.

கழகத்தின் பெருமைக்குரிய தருணங்களில் ஒன்றாக FMF Blog-இன் தொடர்ச்சியான வெற்றியும் அமைந்தது. “Most Outstanding Club Blog” பிரிவில் தங்க விருதைப் பெற்றதன் மூலம், அந்த வலைப்பதிவு மாவட்டத்தின் முன்னணி கதை சொல்லும் தளங்களில் ஒன்றாக தனது இடத்தை மீண்டும் உறுதிப்படுத்தியது.
ஒரு வருடம் முழுவதும் வெளியிடப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு கட்டுரையும், சிறப்புக் குறிப்பும், திட்டப் பதிவும் வெறும் உள்ளடக்கமாக இல்லாமல், கழகத்தின் சாதனைகளை பதிவு செய்ததோடு, உறுப்பினர்களின் பங்களிப்பை பாராட்டி, வாசகர்களுக்கு ஊக்கமளித்து, ரோட்டராக்டின் உணர்வை பிரதிபலிக்கும் நினைவுகளை பாதுகாத்தன. இந்த விருது, குழுவின் தொடர்ச்சியான முயற்சி, படைப்பாற்றல் மற்றும் அர்த்தமுள்ள கதை சொல்லலுக்கான அர்ப்பணிப்பிற்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட அங்கீகாரமாகும்.
2025–2026 ஆண்டிற்கான District Rotaract Representative (DRR) ஆகப் பணியாற்றிய Rtr. PP Nazmi Mahmood அவர்களின் ஊக்கமளிக்கும் தலைமைத்துவத்திற்கு மாவட்டம் நன்றியுடன் விடைபெற்றது. அவரது தொலைநோக்கு பார்வை, விடாமுயற்சி மற்றும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க சாதனைகள் அனைவராலும் பாராட்டப்பட்டன.
அந்த பாரம்பரியத்தை முன்னெடுத்து செல்லும் வகையில், PHF Rtn. Rtr. PP Jude Shannon அவர்கள் 2026–2027 ஆண்டிற்கான District Rotaract Representative ஆக அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக பதவியேற்று, மாவட்டத்தை மேலும் ஒரு வெற்றிகரமான ஆண்டிற்கு வழிநடத்தும் பொறுப்பை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்.
RID 3220 தனது புதிய பயணத்தைத் தொடங்கும் இந்த நேரத்தில், PHF Rtn. Rtr. PP Jude Shannon மற்றும் 2026–2027 District Steering Committee உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு எங்களது மனமார்ந்த வாழ்த்துகளைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம். அவர்களின் தலைமைத்துவம் தொடர்ந்து அர்த்தமுள்ள மாற்றங்களை உருவாக்கி, நமது ஒற்றுமையை வலுப்படுத்தி, ஒவ்வொரு ரோட்டராக்டரையும் சமூகத்தில் நிலையான தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்த ஊக்குவிக்கட்டும்.
RACUOCFMF-க்கு, இந்த பொதுச் சபை வெறும் விருதுகளின் கொண்டாட்டமாக மட்டும் அமையவில்லை. அது தொட்ட வாழ்க்கைகள், உருவாக்கப்பட்ட தலைவர்கள் மற்றும் எழுதப்பட்ட கதைகளே உண்மையான வெற்றி என்பதை மீண்டும் நினைவூட்டிய தருணமாக இருந்தது. சிறப்பான சேவைத் திட்டங்களிலிருந்து விருது பெற்ற வெளியீடுகள் வரை, கழகம் மாவட்டத்தில் தனது அழியாத தடத்தை தொடர்ந்து பதித்து வருகிறது.
ஒரு அத்தியாயம் அழகாக நிறைவடையும் போது, முடிவில்லா வாய்ப்புகளுடன் மற்றொரு அத்தியாயம் தொடங்குகிறது. அர்த்தமுள்ள சேவை, மறக்க முடியாத நினைவுகள், ஊக்கமளிக்கும் தலைமைத்துவம் மற்றும் இதுவரை இல்லாத அளவிற்கு ஒளிரும் எதிர்காலம் நிறைந்த இன்னொரு வெற்றிகரமான ஆண்டிற்காக வாழ்த்துக்கள்!
