On October 16th of November, the Rotaract Club of the University of Colombo held its annual meetup at the CR & 7 Indoor Cricket Stadium. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event was a vibrant gathering filled with laughter, fun, and meaningful interactions. Organized by the Sports and Recreational Avenue, the day was led with enthusiasm and dedication by Rtr. Shakya Weerakoon and Rtr. Saduni Wijemanna.
The event kicked off with icebreaker activities, setting a friendly and welcoming tone for everyone. This was followed by an array of thrilling team-building games, including cricket, futsal, dodgeball, and the classic “Dog and the Bone,” all of which fostered teamwork, communication, and a stronger bond among members. The indoor cricket match became a highlight of the day, showcasing friendly competition and the participants’ sportsmanship.
Rtr. Shenaya Fernando, the club’s secretary, energized the activities with her enthusiastic leadership, while Vice Presidents Rtr. Amaan and Rtr. Malith actively engaged with participants, reinforcing a sense of unity and support. Members like Rtr. Vimarshee, Rtr. Ushanth, Rtr. Senumee, Rtr. Hana, Rtr. Dion, Rtr. Lochana, Rtr. Okitha, Rtr. Piyumi, Rtr. Supun, and Rtr. Chethana worked tirelessly to keep the energy high and ensure everything ran smoothly.
The stars of the day included Rtr. Aman and Rtr. Lochana, who shone as the best cricket players, while Rtr. Chethana’s all-out performance in futsal, despite a minor injury, reflected his dedication and love for the game. What stood out most was how everyone had the opportunity to participate in the activities. Even those hesitant at first joined in with the encouragement and cheers of their peers. By the end, everyone was immersed in the fun, feeling more relaxed and confident, proving how a little support can go a long way.
The day overflowed with excitement and joy. Though a few board members couldn’t attend, those present made the most of the experience, leaving behind their stress and fully embracing the fun. This gathering was more than just a sports event—it was an opportunity to connect, unwind, and create lasting memories. It beautifully highlighted the club’s dedication to unity, collaboration, and personal growth.
The meetup concluded with a cheerful group photo, capturing the smiles and laughter that marked the day. As participants parted ways, the success of the event left them eagerly awaiting the next gathering. The Rotaract Club of the Faculty of Management and Finance once again proved its ability to bring people together, using the power of sports and recreation to strengthen bonds and foster lasting friendships.
නොවැම්බර් මස 16 වන දින, කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය සිය වාර්ෂික හමුවීම CR & 7 ගෘහස්ථ ක්‍රිකට් ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේදී පවත්වන ලදී. ‘Sports and Recreational ‘මාවත විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද මෙම දිනය Rtr. Shakya Weerakoon සහ Rtr. Sanduni Wijemanna විසින් උද්යෝගයෙන් සහ කැපවීමෙන් මෙහෙයවන ලදී.
සැමදෙනාටම මිත්‍රශීලී සහ පිළිගැනීමේ ස්වරයක් සකස් කරමින් Ice break ක්‍රියාකාරකම් වලින් උත්සවය ආරම්භ විය. මෙය ක්‍රිකට්, ෆුට්සාල්, ඩොජ්බෝල් සහ සම්භාව්‍ය “Dog and the bone” ඇතුළු ත්‍රාසජනක කණ්ඩායම් ගොඩනැගීමේ ක්‍රීඩා මාලාවක් අනුගමනය කරන ලද අතර, ඒ සියල්ල කණ්ඩායම් වැඩ, සන්නිවේදනය සහ සාමාජිකයින් අතර ශක්තිමත් බැඳීමක් ඇති කළේය. ගෘහස්ථ ක්‍රිකට් තරගය සුහද තරගයක් සහ සහභාගිවන්නන්ගේ ක්‍රීඩාශීලිත්වය ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරමින් දවසේ විශේෂ අංගයක් බවට පත් විය.
රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ ලේකම් Rtr. Shenaya Fernando සිය උද්යෝගිමත් නායකත්වයෙන් ක්‍රියාකාරකම්වලට ශක්තියක් වූ අතර උප සභාපතිවරුන් වන Rtr. Aman සහ Rtr. දවසේ තරු ලෙසින් ,Rtr. Aman සහ Rtr. Lochana දක්ෂතම ක්‍රිකට් ක්‍රීඩකයන් ලෙසින් බැබළුණ අතර Rtr. Chethana ෆුට්සාල් ක්‍රීඩාවේ දී සුළු ආබාධයක් ඇතිව තිබියදීත් දස්කම් දැක්වීමෙන් ඔහුගේ කැපවීම සහ ක්‍රීඩාවට ඇති ආදරය පිළිබිඹු විය. වඩාත්ම කැපී පෙනුනේ සෑම කෙනෙකුටම ක්‍රියාකාරකම්වලට සහභාගී වීමට අවස්ථාව ලැබුණු ආකාරයයි. මුලදී දෙගිඩියාවෙන් සිටි අය පවා තම සම වයසේ මිතුරන්ගේ දිරිගැන්වීම් සහ ඔල්වරසන් සමඟ එකතු වූහ. අවසානය වන විට, සෑම කෙනෙකුම විනෝදයේ ගිලී සිටි අතර, වඩාත් සැහැල්ලුවෙන් සහ විශ්වාසයෙන් යුතුව, කුඩා සහයෝගයක් දිගු ගමනක් යා හැකි ආකාරය ඔප්පු කළේය.
දවස උද්යෝගයෙන් හා ප්‍රීතියෙන් උතුරා ගියේය. අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයින් කිහිප දෙනෙකුට සහභාගී වීමට නොහැකි වුවද, පැමිණ සිටි අය ඔවුන්ගේ ආතතියෙන් මිදී විනෝදය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම වැලඳ ගනිමින් අත්දැකීමෙන් උපරිම ප්‍රයෝජන ගත්හ. මෙම රැස්වීම හුදෙක් ක්‍රීඩා ඉසව්වකට වඩා වැඩි දෙයක් – එය සම්බන්ධ වීමට, විවේක ගැනීමට සහ කල්පවතින මතකයන් නිර්මාණය කිරීමට අවස්ථාවක් විය. එය සමගිය, සහයෝගීතාවය සහ පුද්ගලික වර්ධනය සඳහා සමාජයේ කැපවීම ඉතා අලංකාර ලෙස ඉස්මතු කළේය.
கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் Rotaract கழகம் அதன் வருடாந்த கூட்டத்தை CR & 7 உள்ளக கிரிக்கெட் மைதானத்தில் நவம்பர் 16 ஆம் தேதி நடத்தியது. இக்கூட்டம் காலை 10 மணி முதல் பிற்பகல் 1 மணி வரை சிரிப்பு, வேடிக்கை மற்றும் அர்த்தமுள்ள தொடர்புகளால் நிறைந்த ஒரு துடிப்பான கூட்டமாக நிகழ்வு இருந்தது. விளையாட்டு மற்றும் பொழுதுபோக்கு Avenueஆல் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட இந்த நாள், உற்சாகத்துடனும் அர்ப்பணிப்புடனும் Rtr. ஷக்ய வீரகோன் மற்றும் Rtr. சதுனி விஜேமான்னவால் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
அனைவருக்கும் நட்பு மற்றும் வரவேற்பு தொனியை அமைத்து, Ice breaker நடவடிக்கைகளுடன் நிகழ்வு தொடங்கியது. இதைத் தொடர்ந்து கிரிக்கெட், Futsal, Dodgeball, and the Classic “Dog and the Bone,” உள்ளிட்ட அணி உருவாக்கும் விளையாட்டுகளின் வரிசையானது குழுப்பணி, தகவல் தொடர்பு மற்றும் உறுப்பினர்களிடையே வலுவான பிணைப்பை வளர்த்தது. உள்ளக கிரிக்கெட் போட்டி அன்றைய தினத்தின் சிறப்பம்சமாக மாறியது. நட்புரீதியான போட்டி மற்றும் பங்கேற்பாளர்களின் விளையாட்டுத்திறனை வெளிப்படுத்தியது.
Rotaract கழகத்தின் செயலாளரான ஷெனாயா பெர்னாண்டோ, தனது உற்சாகமான தலைமைத்துவத்தால் செயற்பாடுகளை உற்சாகப்படுத்தினார், அதேவேளை உப தலைவர்கள் Rtr. அமான் மற்றும் Rtr. மலித் பங்கேற்பாளர்களுடன் தீவிரமாக ஈடுபட்டு, ஒற்றுமை மற்றும் ஆதரவின் உணர்வை வலுப்படுத்தினார்.
உறுப்பினர்களான Rtr விமர்சனி, Rtr. உஷாந்த், Rtr. Senumee, Rtr. ஹனா, Rtr. டியான், Rtr. லோச்சனா, Rtr. ஒகிதா, Rtr. பியூமி, Rtr. சுபுன் மற்றும் Rtr. சேதனா ஆற்றலை அதிக அளவில் வைத்திருக்கவும், அனைத்தும் சீராக நடைபெறுவதை உறுதி செய்யவும் அயராது உழைத்தனர்.
அன்றைய நட்சத்திரங்களில் சிறந்த கிரிக்கெட் வீரர்களாக ஜொலித்த Rtr. அமன் மற்றும் Rtr. லோச்சனா ஆகியோரை உள்ளடக்கியது.
Rtr. சேத்தனாக்கு சிறிய காயம் இருந்தபோதிலும், futsal லில் Rtr. சேத்தனாவின் all out செயல்திறனானது விளையாட்டின் மீதான அவரது அர்ப்பணிப்பையும் அன்பையும் பிரதிபலித்தது. ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் செயல்பாடுகளில் பங்குகொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பு எப்படி கிடைத்தது என்பதுதான் மிக சிறப்பாக இருந்தது. முதலில் தயங்கியவர்கள் கூட தங்கள் சகாக்களின் ஊக்கத்துடனும் ஆரவாரத்துடனும் இணைந்தனர். முடிவில், அனைவரும் வேடிக்கையில் மூழ்கினர், மேலும் நிதானமாகவும் நம்பிக்கையுடனும் உணர்ந்தனர், ஒரு சிறிய ஆதரவு எவ்வாறு நீண்ட தூரம் செல்ல முடியும் என்பதை நிரூபித்தது.
அந்த நாள் உற்சாகமும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் பொங்கி வழிந்தது. ஒரு சில நிர்வாகக் குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் கலந்து கொள்ள முடியாவிட்டாலும், அங்கிருந்தவர்கள் தங்கள் மன அழுத்தத்தை விட்டுவிட்டு, வேடிக்கையை முழுமையாகத் தழுவி, அனுபவத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தினர். இந்த ஒன்றுகூடல் ஒரு விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வை விட அதிகமாக இருந்தது – இது இணைக்கவும், ஓய்வெடுக்கவும் மற்றும் நீடித்த நினைவுகளை உருவாக்கவும் ஒரு வாய்ப்பாக இருந்தது. ஒற்றுமை, ஒத்துழைப்பு மற்றும் தனிப்பட்ட வளர்ச்சிக்கான கிளப்பின் அர்ப்பணிப்பை இது அழகாக எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது.
அந்த நாளைக் குறிக்கும் புன்னகையையும் சிரிப்பையும் படம்பிடித்து, மகிழ்ச்சியான குழு புகைப்படத்துடன் சந்திப்பு முடிந்தது. பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் பிரிந்ததால், நிகழ்வின் வெற்றி அடுத்த கூட்டத்தை ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது. முகாமைத்துவம் மற்றும் நிதியியல் பீடத்தின் Rotaract கழகம் மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை மக்களை ஒன்றிணைக்கும் திறனை நிரூபித்தது, விளையாட்டு மற்றும் பொழுதுபோக்கின் சக்தியைப் பயன்படுத்தி பிணைப்புகளை வலுப்படுத்தவும் நீடித்த நட்பை வளர்க்கவும் உதவுகிறது.
