In the second episode of Center Stage 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting a personality whose energy and presence truly stand out , RTN. RTR. PP Praneeth Madusanka. In an engaging session, Praneeth reflects on his extensive journey through the movement, sharing the pivotal projects and personal discoveries that shaped his path.
Get ready for a conversation filled with insight, laughter, and inspiration! Here are three questions we asked him and his thoughtful answers to them,
- What was the first project that made you feel genuinely excited?
Praneeth highlighted the World Down Syndrome Day celebrations as his first major spark. This massive collaboration involved 20 different clubs, including Japura, UoC FMF, and KDU, to bring children from orphanages together for a day of dance and arts. For him, this project wasn’t just an event; it provided a “purpose to stay” in the movement and remains his favorite experience to this day.
- What is the most unexpected thing you’ve learned about yourself?
Reflecting on his personal evolution, Praneeth shared that he “found the leader” in himself through his track journey. While he held leadership roles in school, he credits Rotaract as his “experimental base” for the corporate world. As a marketer, he used the movement to test marketing and PR experiments, allowing him to bridge the gap between his volunteer leadership and his professional career.
- If your journey were a storybook, what would the title be?
He chose the title “The Aspiring Child from Nowhere”. This reflects his deep desire to inspire others and his refusal to be defined by a single location. By saying he is from “nowhere,” he refers to his habit of living in various places and his preference for identifying with the entire country rather than just one specific village.Praneeth’s story is a powerful testament to how service can become a platform for both community impact and profound personal growth.
