In the league of Exceptional Rotaract Clubs, three Rotaract Clubs stood above the rest. This prestigious recognition is more than symbolic; it is a direct acknowledgment of the unwavering dedication to service, exemplary leadership, and transformative impact within communities. Each tier of this prestigious recognition underscores the tangible results of their endeavors, from groundbreaking projects to steadfast community engagement. As they stand at the forefront of this triumphant moment, they take pride in the literal embodiment of their club’s dedication to excellence and look forward to building upon this success in their ongoing mission to create positive change. The Clubs that were recognized as The Most Outstanding Club for the RI year 2022-23 are the Rotaract Club of SLIIT, The Rotaract Club of University of Colombo, Faculty of Management and Finance, and The Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa.

The Rotaract Club of University of Colombo, Faculty of Management and Finance proudly secured the award for the most outstanding club, a testament to their collective efforts and dedication. Immediate Past President, Rtr. Gajaba Senaratne reflected on the club’s journey, acknowledging the pivotal role played by various stakeholders. He emphasized the collective nature of the award, attributing its success to the contributions of board members, executive committee members, general members, parents, and university management. The board members were particularly recognized for their tireless dedication to ground-level projects and operational procedures. The executive committee members were praised for their invaluable guidance, time, and efforts in steering projects and club matters.Special mention was given to the Past Secretary, Rtr. Samindi Weerakoon, whose contribution, dedication, and foresight were deemed indispensable to achieving the award. Rtr. Gajaba Senarathne outlined the club’s project focus, encompassing the revival of successful past projects, elevating project quality, and executing initiatives with a profound impact on the university community. He expressed confidence in the club’s potential to reach new heights and eagerly anticipated the performance under the leadership of the current president, Rtr. Vishvi Wijetunge. The achievements of the year, he believes, have set a solid foundation for the club’s continued success and growth.

The Rotaract Club of the University of Moratuwa is another proud recipient of the award for the Most Outstanding Club. This was a remarkable achievement which was attributed to the dedicated membership, according to Secretary Rtr. Chyaga Handunpathirana. With a fraternity of over 400 inductors and prospective members, the club thrived on the shared passion for service. The past year marked a milestone as the club successfully addressed all 17 sustainable development goals and focused on the seven Rotary Focus Areas. Originating with a modest group of 16 individuals in 1995, Rotaract Mora has grown exponentially, embracing the theme for the year 2022-23: “Rise, Shine, and Illuminate Life.”

The club’s ultimate goal was to create opportunities, impact lives, and add value to individuals involved. Celebrating its 27th year of service, Rotaract Mora navigated a remarkable journey, overcoming challenges, and making a positive influence. Despite the impact of COVID-19, the club completed 112 projects, totaling 40,000 volunteer hours contributed by 275 club members and over 400 volunteers. This reflects the dedication to the theme of rising, shining, and illuminating life. Rtr. Chyaga expressed gratitude to all who contributed to this success, emphasizing the unity, determination, and unwavering spirit that propelled Rotaract Mora to new heights. The club looks forward to the future with pride and excitement, celebrating the accomplishments of the past year and the enduring impact they’ve made.

Rotaract Club of SLIIT also received the award for the Most Outstanding Club at the 33rd Rotaract District Assembly, marking a momentous achievement for the entire team. Immediate Past President, Rtr. Lathushanan Koneswara reflected on the journey, recalling a bold prediction made at the beginning of the year that the club had the potential to clinch this prestigious award for the 2022-23 term. The realization of this prophecy at the award ceremony left them in disbelief, momentarily thinking it was a mistake. The collective effort behind this triumph was emphasized, acknowledging the contributions of the board, executives, committee members, and general and prospect members, as well as the unwavering support from the management, academic, and non-academic staff of SLIIT. The gratitude extended to the Rotaract District Assembly committee for their guidance, the Past President Council for their wisdom, and the parents who consistently believed in the club’s endeavors. The award, therefore, stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders. Rtr. Lathushanan expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a role, highlighting the joy derived from successfully completing over 40 projects in one year. The seemingly effortless achievement, he clarified, was underscored by the substantial effort and quality invested in each project, ultimately securing the coveted award of The Most Outstanding Club.

33 වැනි Rotaract දිස්ත්‍රික් සමුළුවේදී Most Outstanding Club සඳහා වන සම්මානය SLIIT හි Rotaract Club විසින් ද ලබා ගත් අතර එය සමස්ත කණ්ඩායමටම සුවිශේෂී ජයග්‍රහණයක් සනිටුහන් කළේය. එහි හිටපු ජනාධිපති, Rtr. Lathushanan Koneswara, தவணைக்கான இந்த மதிப்புமிக்க விருதை வெல்வதற்கான சாத்தியக்கூறுகள் கழகத்திற்க்கு உண்டு என்று ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில் கூறப்பட்ட தைரியமான கணிப்பை நினைவு கூர்ந்து இப் பயணத்தில் பிரதிபலித்தார். விருது விழாவில் இந்த தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உணரப்பட்டதுடன் அது தவறு என்று ஒரு கணம் அவர்களால் நம்ப முடியாமல் போனது. குழு நிர்வாகிகள், குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் மற்றும் பொது மற்றும் வருங்கால உறுப்பினர்களின் பங்களிப்புகள் மற்றும் SLIIT இன் நிர்வாகம், கல்வி மற்றும் கல்விசாரா ஊழியர்களின் அசைக்க முடியாத ஆதரவை அங்கீகரித்து, இந்த வெற்றியின் பின்னணியில் உள்ள கூட்டு முயற்சி வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டது.
