Fundraising for club administration is a crucial aspect of sustaining and empowering the operations and initiatives of any organization. It not only supports the day-to-day functioning but also enables the implementation of impactful programs and projects. The recognition for the Most Outstanding Fundraiser in Aid of Club Administration at the 33rd Rotaract District Assembly showcases the dedication and strategic efforts invested in ensuring the smooth functioning and growth of the club. This award highlights the exceptional initiative undertaken by the recipient in mobilizing resources, whether through innovative campaigns, donor engagement strategies, or effective utilization of available networks. This article showcases three remarkable projects honored with the Gold, Silver, and Bronze accolades for the Most Outstanding fundraiser in aid of Club Admin of the Year during the 33rd Rotaract District Assembly.

Gold – Project “Rotrallia” by the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya

The Rotrallia project organized by the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya was awarded the Gold Award under the Most Outstanding fundraiser in aid of Club Admin of the Year. Rotrallia was much more than just a music event. It was a symbol of hope and unity, bringing together people from all walks of life to support a common cause. The success of Rotrallia was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the finance avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya, who worked tirelessly to make the event a reality. Their efforts paid off, and Rotrallia was able to make a significant impact. Rotrallia took place on the 13th of November 2022 at the premises of the University of Kelaniya. As the organizers look towards the future, they are committed to continuing the Rotrallia tradition and making a positive difference in the world. They hope to inspire others to join them on this journey and help create a better future for all.Silver – Project “Are You Ready?” by the Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa

The project called ‘Are You Ready?’, launched by the Rotaract Club of the University of Moratuwa, was awarded the Silver Award under the Most Outstanding fundraiser in aid of Club Admin of the Year. The collaboration between the Rotaract Club of the University of Moratuwa and the Career Guidance Unit marked the unveiling of the 2023 edition of the university’s official career fair, named ‘Are You Ready?’. Spanning more than 26 years, this annual gathering has served as a significant platform for over 1000 undergraduates hailing from diverse faculties, offering them an avenue to discover their capabilities and explore the most current job prospects available. Consequently, this initiative effectively bridges the divide between academic pursuits and industry demands, providing students with an opportunity to delve into their interests, ignite their entrepreneurial drive, and ready themselves for a prosperous professional career.

Bronze – Project “Rota Fiesta” by the Rotaract Club of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University

The Bronze Award for the Most Outstanding fundraiser in aid of Club Admin of the Year was claimed by the “Rota Fiesta” Project organized by the Rotaract Club of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. The University hosted the groundbreaking “Rota Fiesta” on April 3rd, blending a musical extravaganza and food festival. Drawing a crowd exceeding 2500 attendees, the event featured diverse delicacies and performances by esteemed Sri Lankan artists. Highlighted by the Rotaract club’s engaging “Spiced Rotti” challenge and creative stalls from university clubs, the event brimmed with enthusiasm despite later rain showers, enhancing the atmosphere. Not just an evening of entertainment, the Fiesta also aimed to support charitable causes by allocating a share of its proceeds, showcasing the Rotaract club’s commitment to community service. කැළණිව විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ Rotaract සමාජය විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද Rotrallia ව්‍යාපෘතිය Most Outstanding Fundraiser in Aid of Club Administration යටතේ රන් සම්මානයෙන් පිදුම් ලැබීය. ජෙනරාල් සර් ජෝන් කොතලාවල ආරක්ෂක විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ Rotaract සමාජය විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද “Rota Fiesta” ව්‍යාපෘතිය මගින් වසරේ Most Outstanding Fundraiser in Aid of Club Administration සඳහා වන ලෝකඩ සම්මානය හිමි කර ගන්නා ලදී . විශ්ව විද්‍යාලය විසින් අප්‍රේල් 3 වෙනිදා පෙරළිකාර “Rota Fiesta” සංගීත සංදර්ශනයක් සහ ආහාර සැණකෙළියක් මුසු කර පවත්වන ලදී. 2500 කට අධික පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූ මෙම උත්සවය ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය කීර්තිමත් කලාකරුවන්ගේ ප්‍රසංග වලින් සහ විවිධ ආහාර වර්ග වලින් සමන්විත විය. Rotaract සමාජයේ ආකර්ශනීය “Spiced Rotti” අභියෝගය සහ විශ්ව විද්‍යාල සමාජ ශාලාවල නිර්මාණ කුටි මගින් ඉස්මතු වූ මෙම උත්සවය පසුව වර්ෂාව නොතකා උද්‍යෝගයෙන් පිරී ගියේ වායුගෝලය වැඩිදියුණු කරමිනි. විනෝදාස්වාදයේ සන්ධ්‍යාවක් පමණක් නොව, ප්‍රජා සේවය සඳහා Rotaract සමාජයේ කැපවීම ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරමින් එහි ආදායමෙන් කොටසක් වෙන් කිරීම මගින් පුණ්‍ය කටයුතු සඳහා සහාය වීම ද Fiesta හි අරමුණක් විය. සංවිධායකයින්, නිරීක්ෂකයින් සහ සාමාන්‍ය සාමාජිකයින්ගේ සාමූහික ප්‍රයත්නයට සාක්ෂියක් වන මෙම වැදගත් සිදුවීම විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ සමාජ දින දර්ශනයේ නිර්වචන අංගයක් බවට පත්වීමට සූදානමින් සිටී.

General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University இன் Rotaract கழகத்தால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட “Rota Fiesta” திட்டம், ஆண்டின் சிறந்த Fundraiser in Aid of Club Administration இற்கான வெண்கல விருதைப் பெற்றுக் கொண்டது. உணவுத் திருவிழாவுடன் இணைந்த இசைக் களியாட்ட நிகழ்ச்சியான, “Rota Fiesta”வை ஏப்ரல் 3 ஆம் திகதி பல்கலைக்கழகம் நடத்தியது. 2500க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பங்கேற்பாளர்களை கவர்ந்த இந் நிகழ்வில், இலங்கையின் மதிப்பிற்குரிய கலைஞர்களின் பல்வேறு சுவையான உணவுகளுடன் நிகழ்ச்சிகளும் இடம்பெற்றன.
