In the world of Rotaract, communication is key to fostering connection, collaboration, and the dissemination of impactful projects. Newsletters stand as the voice of Rotaract clubs, echoing the vibrancy of their endeavors. The recognition of outstanding newsletters is not just a celebration of editorial prowess but a testament to the commitment of Rotaract clubs towards transparency, engagement, and information dissemination. This year, the Most Outstanding Newsletter awards were claimed by the Rotaract Club of SLIIT, the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance, the Rotaract Club of Colombo Central, and the Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa, each deserving of the accolades for their exceptional contributions.

Gold – “The Blogger” by the Rotaract Club of SLIIT

The Rotaract Club of SLIIT soared to victory, clinching the Gold Award for the Most Outstanding Newsletter in the RI Year 2022-23. The club’s achievement is credited to the tireless efforts of its three dedicated editors, who successfully released magazines in all three languages every quarter. Rtr. Imesh and Rtr. Ibrahim, two esteemed executive committee members, meticulously overlooked these publications, ensuring a high standard. This accolade stands as a testament to the hard work invested in crafting a stellar newsletter that encapsulates the progress of each Rotaract club and the impactful projects, contributing significantly to the Rotaract community.Silver – “ROUND UP” by the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance

In the limelight of excellence, the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance secured the Silver Award for the Most Outstanding Newsletter. Throughout the RI Year, Rtr. Zahra Zuhri and Rtr. Hasara Nadee Shakya, under the guidance of Rtr. Afkar Saleem orchestrated a mesmerizing “ROUND UP”. This quarterly masterpiece, available in all three languages, intricately weaves together the adventurous journey of RACUOCFMF. From its commitment to time-efficient reporting to the captivating designs, the “ROUND UP” is a harmonious symphony of creativity and information. The meticulous effort invested in content creation, translation, and design transforms each edition into a captivating visual and literary experience. The “ROUND UP” not only narrates stories but creates vivid imagery, ensuring Rotaractors stay abreast of the dynamic Rotaract world.

Bronze – “Central Gazette” by the Rotaract Club of Colombo Central

The Bronze Award found its place in the hands of the Rotaract Club of Colombo Central. Under the leadership of the current president Rtr. Esini Peries, the Editor of the club during the RI Year 2022-23. The editorial team successfully initiated the “Central Gazette” marking the club’s inaugural Quarterly E-Newsletter. This groundbreaking effort aimed to showcase the club’s value to the external Rotaract community. During her tenure, Rtr. Esini Peries oversaw the meticulous process of finding resources, compiling content, and designing each edition of the “Central Gazette”. This wasn’t just a one-off edition; the club expresses its commitment to continue issuing more remarkable newsletters like this in the coming Rotaract years.Bronze – “Odyssey” by the Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa

The Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa, also a recipient of the Bronze Award, showcases excellence in newsletter creation through “Odyssey” its official E-newsletter. This quarterly magazine covers all the projects executed by each avenue within the quarter, offering details on the project’s scope and the impact it creates within the Rotaract community. “Odyssey” stands as a tribute to the hardworking Rotaractors who make each project possible. Last year’s edition introduced a small twist, incorporating engaging elements like crossword puzzles and competitions. In the upcoming Rotaract years, “Odyssey” will continue to evolve, promising an even more immersive and captivating reading experience, ensuring that readers stay actively engaged with the magazine.
