InfoEconomy online economic discussion forum was a collaborative initiative by the International Services Avenues of the Rotaract Clubs of Kantipur, Faculty of Science University of Colombo, and University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance to increase awareness regarding the global and domestic economic climate of the current world. The discussion forum was an excellent platform for the young rotaractors of all clubs in which they could gain a clear knowledge of the current economic situation prevailing globally as well as within the two countries Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The online discussion forum was held via Google Meet on 26th February, from 7.00 pm (SL Time) with the active participation of over 40 members from all three clubs. The session was conducted by Mrs. Gayani Weerasinghe, Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, and Ms. Yasue Karunarathne Attorney at Law, Consultant Economist at the Committee of Public Finance at Parliament and former Assistant Lecturer of Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo.
The discussion forum was started by Mrs. Gayani Weerasinghe by giving a brief idea regarding the basic economic concepts by explaining the current global and Sri Lankan context. Then it was further continued by explaining how Sri Lanka is healing back after the economic crisis that it had to face in the recent past. Thereafter the session was overtaken by Ms. Yasue Karunarathne, where she compared the current economic and social status of Sri Lanka and Nepal with some statistical figures. This was helpful to get an idea regarding the economic relationships between the two countries.
Then the session was followed by a Q and A session where the participants were allowed to raise the questions that they had during the session, and they were clarified by both facilitators. One of the remarkable questions raised by one of the participants was, “We as rotaractors, what can we do to uplift the economy in the country?” The facilitators’ comment regarding this matter was to promote entrepreneurship within the country by helping new small and medium-scale business startups and also to take steps to educate the younger generation regarding the economic situation that the world is facing nowadays and take steps to overcome those issues sustainably.
Thereafter the discussion forum came to an end with a letterhead exchange that took place between the Rotaract Clubs of Kantipur and Faculty of Management and Finance University of Colombo which was another significant event that took place on the day to uplift the mutual bonds between the two clubs.
InfoEconomy ඔන්ලයින් ආර්ථික සාකච්ඡා සංසදය යනු කාන්තිපූර්හි රොටරැක්ට් සමාජවල ජාත්‍යන්තර සේවා මාවත, කොළඹ විද්‍යා පීඨය සහ කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ කළමනාකරණ හා මූල්‍ය පීඨය මගින් වත්මන් ගෝලීය සහ දේශීය ආර්ථික වාතාවරණය පිළිබඳ දැනුවත්භාවය වැඩි කිරීම සඳහා වූ සහයෝගී මුලපිරීමකි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සහ නේපාලය යන රටවල් දෙක තුළ මෙන්ම ගෝලීය වශයෙන් පවතින වත්මන් ආර්ථික තත්ත්වය පිළිබඳව පැහැදිලි දැනුමක් ලබා ගැනීමට මෙම සාකච්ඡා මණ්ඩපය සියලුම සමාජ ශාලාවල තරුණ රොටරැක්ටර්වරුන්ට විශිෂ්ට වේදිකාවක් විය.
සමාජ තුනේම සාමාජිකයින් 40 කට අධික පිරිසකගේ සක්‍රීය සහභාගීත්වයෙන් පෙබරවාරි 26 වන දින රාත්‍රී 7.00 (ශ්‍රී ලංකා වේලාවෙන්) සිට Google Meet හරහා මාර්ගගත සාකච්ඡා සංසදය පැවැත්විණි. කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ කළමනාකරණ හා මුල්‍ය පීඨයේ ව්‍යාපාර ආර්ථික විද්‍යා අංශයේ සහකාර කථිකාචාර්ය ගයනි වීරසිංහ මහත්මිය සහ පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ රාජ්‍ය මුදල් කාරක සභාවේ ආර්ථික උපදේශක නීතිඥ යසු කරුණාරත්න මහත්මිය විසින් මෙම සැසිය මෙහෙයවන ලදී.
වත්මන් ගෝලීය සහ ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය කරුණු පැහැදිලි කරමින් මූලික ආර්ථික සංකල්ප පිළිබඳව කෙටි අදහසක් ලබා දෙමින් සාකච්ඡා සංසදය ආරම්භ කළේ ගයානි වීරසිංහ මහත්මිය විසිනි. අනතුරුව එය තවදුරටත් අඛණ්ඩව සිදු කෙරුණේ පසුගිය කාලයේ මුහුණ දීමට සිදුවූ ආර්ථික අර්බුදයෙන් පසු ශ්‍රී ලංකාව යළි සුවපත් වන ආකාරය පැහැදිලි කරමිනි. ඉන් අනතුරුව සැසිවාරය අභිබවා යාමට යසු කරුණාරත්න මෙනවිය සමත් වූ අතර එහිදී ඇය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සහ නේපාලයේ වත්මන් ආර්ථික විද්‍යාව සහ සමාජ තත්ත්වය ඇතැම් සංඛ්‍යා ලේඛන සමඟ සංසන්දනය කළාය. දෙරට අතර ආර්ථික සබඳතා පිළිබඳව අදහසක් ලබා ගැනීමට මෙය ඉවහල් විය.
අනතුරුව සැසිවාරයෙන් අනතුරුව ප්‍රශ්නෝත්තර සැසියක් පවත්වන ලද අතර එහිදී සහභාගිවන්නන්ට සැසිවාරය තුළ ඇති වූ ප්‍රශ්න මතු කිරීමට ඉඩ ලබා දුන් අතර පහසුකම් සපයන්නන් දෙදෙනා විසින්ම ඒවා පැහැදිලි කරන ලදී. ඊට සහභාගි වූ එක් අයෙක් නැඟූ කැපී පෙනෙන ප්‍රශ්නයක් වූයේ, “අපි රොටරැක්ටර්වරුන් වශයෙන්, රටේ ආර්ථිකය නඟා සිටුවීමට අපට කුමක් කළ හැකිද?” යන්නයි. මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් පහසුකම් සපයන්නන්ගේ අදහස වූයේ නව කුඩා හා මධ්‍ය පරිමාණ ව්‍යාපාර ආරම්භ කිරීමට සහය වෙමින් රට තුළ ව්‍යවසායකත්වය ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීම මෙන්ම වර්තමානයේ ලෝකය මුහුණ දී සිටින ආර්ථික තත්ත්වය පිළිබඳව තරුණ පරපුර දැනුවත් කර ඒවා ජය ගැනීමට පියවර ගැනීමයි.
ඉන් අනතුරුව සංවාද මණ්ඩපය අවසන් වූයේ කාන්තිපූර් රොටරැක්ට් සමාජ සහ කොළඹ කළමනාකරණ සහ මුල්‍ය විශ්වවිද්‍යාල පීඨය අතර සිදු වූ ලිපි ශීර්ෂ හුවමාරුවකින් එය සමාජ දෙක අතර අන්‍යෝන්‍ය බැඳීම නංවාලීම සඳහා එදින සිදුවූ තවත් සුවිශේෂී සිදුවීමකි.
தற்போதைய உலகின் உலகளாவிய மற்றும் உள்நாட்டு பொருளாதார சூழல் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை அதிகரிப்பதற்காக International Service Avenues of the Rotaract Club of Kantipur, கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் விஞ்ஞான பீடம் மற்றும் முகாமைத்துவம் மற்றும் நிதியியல் பீடம் ஆகிய மூன்றும் இணைந்து கூட்டு முயற்சியாக InfoEconomy நிகழ்நிலை பொருளாதார கலந்துரையாடல் இருந்தது. இந்த கலந்துரையாடல் அனைத்து Rotaract club அங்கத்தவர்களுக்கும் ஒரு சிறந்த தளமாக இருந்ததுடன் இதனூடாக அவர்கள் உலகளவில் இலங்கை மற்றும் நேபாளம் ஆகிய இரு நாடுகளிலும் நிலவும் தற்போதைய பொருளாதார நிலைமை குறித்து தெளிவான அறிவைப் பெற முடிந்தது.
நிகழ்நிலை கலந்துரையாடல் google meet வழியாக பெப்ரவரி 26 அன்று இரவு 7.00 மணி முதல் (இலங்கை நேரம்) மூன்று கழகங்களையும் சேர்ந்த 40 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட உறுப்பினர்களின் பங்கேற்புடன் நடைபெற்றது. இந்த அமர்வை கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் முகாமைத்துவ மற்றும் நிதியியல் பீடத்தின் வணிகப் பொருளாதாரத் துறையின் உதவி விரிவுரையாளர் திருமதி காயனி வீரசிங்க மற்றும் சட்ட வழக்கறிஞரும், நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் உள்ள பொது நிதிக் குழுவின் ஆலோசகர் பொருளாதார வல்லுநரும், கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் முகாமைத்துவ மற்றும் நிதியியல் பீடத்தின் வணிகப் பொருளாதாரத் துறையின் முன்னாள் உதவி விரிவுரையாளருமான திருமதி யாசு கருணாரத்ன ஆகியோர் நடத்தினர்.
தற்போதைய உலகளாவிய மற்றும் இலங்கை சூழலை விளக்கி அடிப்படை பொருளாதாரக் கருத்துக்கள் குறித்து ஒரு சுருக்கமான யோசனையை வழங்கி திருமதி கயானி வீரசிங்க இந்த கலந்துரையாடல் மன்றத்தைத் தொடங்கினார். சமீப காலங்களில் எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டிய பொருளாதார நெருக்கடிக்குப் பிறகு இலங்கை எவ்வாறு மீண்டு வருகிறது என்பதை விளக்கி உரையாடல் மேலும் தொடர்ந்தது. அதன்பிறகு இந்த அமர்வை திருமதி யாசு கருணாரத்ன முன்னெடுத்துச் சென்றார். அவர் இலங்கை மற்றும் நேபாளத்தின் தற்போதைய பொருளாதாரம் மற்றும் சமூக நிலையை சில புள்ளிவிவரங்களுடன் ஒப்பிட்டார். இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையிலான பொருளாதார உறவுகள் குறித்து ஒரு யோசனையைப் பெற இது உதவியாக இருந்தது.
அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து ஒரு கேள்வி பதில் அமர்வு நடைபெற்றது.அதன்போது பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் அமர்வின் போது அவர்களுக்கு எழுந்த கேள்விகளை எழுப்ப அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டு அவ்வினாக்கள் இரு வளவாளர்களாலும் தெளிவுபடுத்தப்பட்டன. பங்கேற்பாளர்களில் ஒருவர் எழுப்பிய குறிப்பிடத்தக்க கேள்விகளில் ஒன்று, “Rotaract Club, நம் நாட்டின் பொருளாதாரத்தை உயர்த்த என்ன செய்ய முடியும்?” என்பதாகும். புதிய சிற்றளவு நடுத்தர வணிகத் தொடக்கங்களுக்கு உதவுவதன் மூலம் நாட்டிற்குள் தொழில்முனைவோரை ஊக்குவிப்பதும், உலகம் தற்பொழுது எதிர்கொள்ளும் பொருளாதார நிலைமை குறித்து இளைய தலைமுறையினருக்கு கல்வி கற்பிக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுப்பதும், அந்த சிக்கல்களை நிலைபேறான முறையில் சமாளிக்க நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுப்பதும் இந்த விஷயத்தில் வளவாளர்களின் கருத்தாக அமைந்தது.
அதன்பிறகு, Rotaract Club of Kantipur மற்றும் கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழக முகாமைத்துவ மற்றும் நிதியியல் பீடத்திற்கும் இடையே நடந்த letterhead பரிமாற்றத்துடன் கலந்துரையாடல் முடிவுக்கு வந்தது. இது இரு கழகங்களுக்கும் இடையிலான பரஸ்பர பிணைப்பை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக அன்றைய தினம் நடந்த மற்றொரு குறிப்பிடத்தக்க நிகழ்வாகும்.
