Beyond the meetings, projects and responsibilities, there is always another side to every Rotaractor, the side filled with laughter, spontaneous moments and genuine personalities. Know Your Co 4.0 was created to bring that side to life.
Organized by the Public Relations Avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance, this creative video series featured the Board of Directors of the club in a completely different light. The main purpose of the initiative was simple: to go beyond positions and titles and truly get to know the people behind them. Instead of only seeing directors during official meetings and projects, members and followers were given the chance to witness their fun side, their friendships and the personalities that make the club what it is.
The series also played an important role in strengthening the club’s online presence. By sharing the videos across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, RACUOCFMF was able to connect with a wider audience in a more relatable and engaging manner. The casual and entertaining style of the videos allowed viewers to see a more authentic side of the club, making the content enjoyable not only for members but also for anyone discovering Rotaract for the first time.
To match the warm and relaxed atmosphere the team hoped to create, filming took place in aesthetic café settings including Café Kaiko’s, Café Keku and Templer’s Café. The shooting sessions were scheduled according to the availability of each avenue and took place over five days. Filming officially began on the 15th of December and continued until the 18th of December, while one final avenue was filmed later on the 8th of April due to scheduling conflicts.
The first day of filming featured three avenues. Representing the Public Relations Avenue were Rtr. Dithya and Rtr. Thinuja, while Rtr. Thaveesha and Rtr. Randilu joined from the Professional Development Avenue. Representing the Finance Avenue were Rtr. Liviru and Rtr. Dhananjana.
The second day welcomed Rtr. Sasindu and Rtr. Dinandi from the Environmental Service Avenue together with Rtr. Sayumi and Rtr. Eshan from the Sports and Recreational Avenue.
On the third day, filming continued with Rtr. Trilochana and Rtr. Savidya from the International Service Avenue, Rtr. Hiruni and Rtr. Himashi from the Community Service Avenue and Rtr. Naduni and Rtr. Savidya from the Membership Development Avenue.
The fourth day featured Rtr. Mihan and Rtr. Moksha from the Digital Communications Avenue along with Rtr. Shandel and Rtr. Kavindu, the editors of the club. Finally, on the last day of filming, Rtr. Bingun and Rtr. Upeksha from the Club Service Avenue joined the series, bringing the journey of Know Your Co 4.0 to a memorable close.
What made the series truly enjoyable was the variety of games and challenges that encouraged natural conversations and genuine reactions. From Never Have I Ever and Truth vs Truth to Guess the Song, Wrong Answers Only, Emoji Guessing, Agree or Disagree and the Forehead Game, every segment brought out a different side of the participants. The playful atmosphere created moments of laughter, friendly competition and unexpected answers that made each episode unique and entertaining to watch.
However, Know Your Co 4.0 became more than just a social media series. It turned into a platform that strengthened the bond between the Board of Directors, the club members and the wider online audience following RACUOCFMF. Through candid conversations, lighthearted moments and shared memories, the series reminded everyone that Rotaract is not only about leadership and service but also about friendships, connections and the people who make the journey meaningful.
රැස්වීම්, ව්යාපෘති සහ වගකීම් ඉක්මවා, සෑම Rotaractor කෙනෙකුටම තවත් පැත්තක් ඇත. එය සිනාවෙන්, හදිසි සුන්දර මොහොතවලින් සහ සත්ය පෞරුෂයන්ගෙන් පිරුණු පැත්තකි. එම පැත්ත ජීවන්ත කිරීමට Know Your Co 4.0 නිර්මාණය කරන ලදී.
මෙය කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ කළමනාකරණ හා මුල්ය පීඨයේ Rotaract සමාජයේ Public Relations Avenue විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද නිර්මාණාත්මක වීඩියෝ මාලාවක් වන අතර, සමාජයේ Board of Directors සාමාජිකයන් වෙනස් ආකාරයකින් හඳුන්වා දෙන ලදී. මෙම වැඩසටහනේ ප්රධාන අරමුණ වන්නේ තනතුරු සහ වගකීම් වලට එහා ගොස්, ඒවා පිටුපස සිටින පුද්ගලයන් සැබවින් හඳුනා ගැනීමට ඉඩ ලබා දීමයි.
මෙම වීඩියෝ මාලාව YouTube, TikTok සහ Instagram හරහා බෙදාහැරීම මඟින් සමාජයේ මාර්ගගත පෙනුමද ශක්තිමත් කරන ලදී. සරල සහ විනෝදාත්මක ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමක් හේතුවෙන්, නරඹන්නන්ට සමාජයේ සත්ය පැත්තක් දැක ගැනීමට හැකි විය.
මෙම උණුසුම් හා නිදහස් පරිසරය සපුරාලීම සඳහා, වීඩියෝ රූගත කිරීම Café Kaiko’s, Café Keku සහ Templer’s Café වැනි අලංකාර පරිසරවල සිදු කරන ලදී. රූගත කිරීම් දින 5ක් තුළ සිදු වූ අතර, දෙසැම්බර් 15 සිට 18 දක්වා ප්රධාන දිනවල රූගත කිරීම සිදු කර, අවසාන රූගත කිරීම අප්රේල් 8 වන දින සිදු කරන ලදී.
පළමු දිනයේදී Public Relations, Professional Development සහ Finance Avenue නියෝජනය කළ සාමාජිකයන් රූගත කිරීම සිදු කළහ. දෙවන දිනයේ Environmental Service සහ Sports & Recreational Avenue සාමාජිකයන් සහභාගී වූහ. තුන්වන දිනයේ International Service, Community Service සහ Membership Development Avenue සාමාජිකයන් එක්වූහ. සිව්වන දිනයේ Digital Communications Avenue සහ සමාජයේ සංස්කාරකවරුන් එක්වූ අතර, අවසාන දිනයේ Club Service Avenue සාමාජිකයන් සහභාගී වීමෙන් මෙම රූගත කිරීම් මාලාව නිමාවට පත්විය.
