As we step into another wonderful RI year, the Sports and Recreational Activities Avenue of Rotaract Club of University of Colombo, Faculty of Management and Finance was able to successfully carry out its first project for the RI year, project “Meetup 2.0 – Phase 01”. This was a continuation of project “The Meetup” that happened last year but added more fun and energy to the team this year as well. The participation for this event was allowed only for the Executive committee members, Board of Directors, Blog Team members and the Editorial Team members with the intension of strengthening the bond of the board members.
තවත් අපූරු රොටරැක්ට් වසරකට පා තබන මොහොතේ ම, කොලඹ විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ කලමනාකරණ හා මූල්ය පීඨයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ ක්රීඩා හා විනෝද කටයුතු අංශය මේ වසරේ පලමු ව්යපෘතිය වන “Meetup 2.0 – Phase 01” සාර්ථක ව නිමා කිරීමට සමත් විය. පෙර වසරේ පැවති “The Meetup” ව්යාපෘතියේ දිගුවක් ලෙස මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය පැවතුණ ද, පෙර වසරටත් වඩා ඉහළ ශක්තියක් මෙන් ම විනෝදයක් මේ වසර තුළ කණ්ඩායම වෙත ලැබී තිබුණි. ව්ශේෂයෙන් ම රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ විධායක කමිටු සාමාජිකයන්, බ්ලොග් කණ්ඩායමේ සාමාජිකයන් සහ කර්තෘ මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයන් වෙත පමණක් මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය සමග සම්බන්ධ වීමට අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙනු ලැබුවේ අධ්යක්ෂක මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයන්ගේ බැදීම ශක්තිමත් කිරීමේ අරමුණෙනි
மற்றொரு அற்புதமான ரொட்டாரி ஆண்டில் நாம் அடியெடுத்து வைக்கும் போது, கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழக முகாமைத்துவ நிதி பீட ரொட்டாரி கழகத்தின் விளையாட்டு மற்றும் பொழுதுபோக்கு நடவடிக்கைகள் குழுப்பிரிவினர், ரொட்டாரி ஆண்டிற்கான தனது முதல் திட்டமான “Meetup 2.0 – Phase 01” திட்டத்தை வெற்றிகரமாக செயல்படுத்தினர். இது கடந்த ஆண்டு நடந்த “The Meetup” திட்டத்தின் தொடர்ச்சியாகும், ஆனால் இந்த ஆண்டில் அணிக்கு மேலும் வேடிக்கையையும் ஆற்றலையும் சேர்த்தது. கழக அங்கத்தவர்களிடையே நல்லுறவை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் நிர்வாகக் குழு உறுப்பினர்கள், இயக்குநர் குழு, வலைப்பதிவு குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் மற்றும் தொகுப்பாளர் குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் மட்டுமே இந்த நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்க அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டனர்.
The event was planned to start at 10.00 am. However, knowing the punctuality of our own Rotaractors, the Sports Directors informed our own Rotaractors that the event will be starting at 9.30 am. Hopefully we were able to start at around 10.20 am with a good count of our enthusiastic members joining the event. The event started off with a friendly cricket match between the fellow board members. Rtr. Chanuka, Rtr. Dileesha, Rtr. Tharushi, Rtr. Ali, Rtr. Leon and Rtr. Mindya were the main highlights of the two well played cricket matches. Our dearest president, Rtr. Gajaba Senarathne also showcased his multi talents during the cricket match when he was given the opportunity to bat and bowl.
And even before the cricket match started, the football die-hard fan of RACUOCFMF, Rtr. Afkar was waiting to play fustal as soon as the cricket match came to an end. So, we finally started playing fustal. When it comes to the futsal match Rtr. Chanuka was a very serious player. He was very focused on the game and almost started playing Rugby with the opponents when the ball was with them. Undoubtedly Rtr. Afkar was the main highlight of the game and he never ever wanted a break during the match. Apart from that the former RCL Futsal Champions and promising players, Rtr. Melisha and Rtr. Vishvi displayed their futsal skills in the match contributing to scoring goals.
The day was a wonderful event that further grew the never ending friendships of the FMF family and the event was finally concluded with a photoshoot of the Board members and a small show for the RACUOCFMF TikTok video.
