Hall No. 204 of the West Wing Building at the University of Colombo shimmered with vibrant energy and heartfelt emotion on the 25th of July 2026, starting at 2:00 PM, as the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance (RACUOCFMF) gathered for its highly anticipated Annual Transition Meeting 2026. Celebrating both a monumental year of achievements and the dawn of a promising new administrative period, the afternoon was a seamless blend of gratitude, reflection and inspiration.
The meeting commenced with traditional solemnity and reverence as members stood united for the formalities: the National Anthem, Flag Salutation, Invocation and the Rotaract Song—setting a dignified tone for the proceedings ahead. The occasion was further honored by the distinguished presence of Guide Club Coordinator Rtr. Delishia Fabian, whose participation added special encouragement to the assembly.
A Year to Remember
Outgoing President Rtr. Piyumi Tharangika took the stage to address the assembly, reflecting on a year defined by passion, dedication and transformative action. Her speech captured the spirit of teamwork and leadership that carried the club through flagship projects including What Next – The Career Expo 2026, Ride Colombo, Hadeveena 4.0, Mihilawan and Wordsville 6.0.
Special appreciation was extended to Outgoing Secretary Rtr. Sanduni Wickramarachchi, whose meticulous organization and steadfast dedication served as the administrative backbone of the club throughout the year.

A Passing of the Torch
In one of the most memorable and emotional moments of the afternoon, Rtr. Mihan Perera was officially collared as the incoming President for the 2026–27 administrative year. Stepping into his role with vision and enthusiasm, President Rtr. Mihan Perera outlined his roadmap for the upcoming year, emphasizing fellowship, impact, sustainable growth and creative expansion across all avenues.
Following his address, the new Executive Committee and Board of Directors for 2026–27 were officially introduced to the membership.
