While children were busy celebrating Children’s day around the world on the 1st of October, we ladies were having a wonderful experience of a life time at the Main Library Auditorium of University of Colombo. “Dream. Dare. Do!”, a spirited workshop organized by the Rotaract Club of Faculty of Science, University of Colombo with Amanté Sri Lanka, was an amazing interactive program tailor made for the female undergraduates of University of Colombo.
This wonderful morning session was conducted by a trainer and motivational speaker, Mrs. Manusha Weerakody, who truly inspired us by every word she uttered during the session.
It was an excellent opportunity, as it taught us about many useful things from a proper handshake to circumstantial appropriate dress code to personal hygiene to essentials every girl should carry along with her.
The workshop came to an end with the 10 commandments by Dave Thomas; “never stop learning, do what makes you happy, show your true colours, don’t give up, be honest, don’t sweat the small things, break out of your daily routine, do you best, live life to the fullest and believe in yourself.”
All the participants were given free gift packs courtesy of Amanté Sri Lanka. A selected number of lucky ladies were awarded with gift vouchers, free haircuts and fair manicures.
The Rotaract Club of the University of Colombo, Faculty of Management & Finance is grateful for the opportunity given by the Rotaract Club of Faculty of Science, University of Colombo to be a part of this unforgettable workshop and we wish all the very best for their future projects!
