Dansal Drive 2.0, a collaborative endeavor between the Rotaract Club of Colombo Uptown and the University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance, has achieved remarkable success in its efforts to organize a charitable food distribution event on the 5th of May – Vesak Day. With careful planning, teamwork, and dedication, the event surpassed all expectations, leaving a positive impact on the community.
Dansal Drive 2.0, Uptown කොළඹ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය සහ කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ කළමනාකරණ හා මූල්ය පීඨය අතර සහයෝගී ප්රයත්නයක් වන අතර, මැයි 5 – වෙසක් දිනයේදී පුණ්ය ආහාර බෙදා හැරීමේ උත්සවයක් සංවිධානය කිරීමට දරන උත්සාහය තුළ විශිෂ්ට සාර්ථකත්වයක් අත්කර ගෙන ඇත. මනා සැලසුම් කිරීම, කණ්ඩායම් ක්රියාකාරිත්වය සහ කැපවීම සමඟින්, මෙම උත්සවය ප්රජාව කෙරෙහි ධනාත්මක බලපෑමක් ඇති කරමින් සියලු අපේක්ෂාවන් අභිබවා ගියේය.
ரோட்ராக்ட் கிளப் ஆஃப் கொழும்பு அப்டவுன் மற்றும் கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழக முகாமைத்துவ மற்றும் நிதி பீடத்தின் கூட்டு முயற்சியான டான்சல் டிரைவ் 2.0, மே 5 ஆம் தேதி வெசாக் தினத்தில் ஒரு தொண்டு உணவு விநியோக நிகழ்வை ஏற்பாடு செய்வதற்கான அதன் முயற்சிகளில் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க வெற்றியைப் பெற்றுள்ளது. கவனமாக திட்டமிடல், குழுப்பணி மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்பு ஆகியவற்றுடன், நிகழ்வு அனைத்து எதிர்பார்ப்புகளையும் தாண்டி, சமூகத்தில் நேர்மறையான தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது.
The organizers of Dansal Drive 2.0 aimed to ensure a fulfilling experience for all participants. By selecting jackfruit as the primary food item, they provided a nutritious and wholesome meal to those in need. Jackfruit’s versatility and abundance made it an ideal choice, and its preparation took place at the conveniently located Asokaramaya Temple.
The success of Dansal Drive 2.0 can be attributed to the effective collaboration between the Rotaract Club of Colombo Uptown and RACUOCFMF. Both organizations worked together to procure jackfruits and finance the project. Monetary donations and financial contributions collected through a stall played a vital role in making the event a reality.
Dansal Drive 2.0 demonstrated meticulous planning and execution. By the 3rd of May 2023, all the necessary materials were gathered, and preparations were successfully completed by the end of the 4th of May. Cooking commenced at 6:30 a.m. on the 5th of May, ensuring the timely completion of all essential items. The cooked jackfruits and coconut sambol were transported to the University premises, ready to be served to the eager attendees.
With all decorations and arrangements completed by 4 p.m., the tents were set for the commencement of the Dansala in front of the University of Colombo main library. At 4:30 p.m., the event began promptly, captivating the participants and exceeding expectations. The resounding success of Dansal Drive 2.0 can be attributed to the hard work, dedication, and spirit of unity displayed by all involved.
Dansal Drive 2.0 stands as a shining example of how collaborative efforts and community engagement can lead to remarkable outcomes. The Rotaract Club of Colombo Uptown and the University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance, through their joint initiative, provided a fulfilling experience for those in need, showcasing the power of collective action.
