Project Joy 2.0 was implemented by RACUOCFMF under the International Service Avenue for the second consecutive year, as a twin club agreement project in collaboration with the Rotaract club of Mulund Hill View,India. The main intention of the project was to celebrate Valentine’s Day among orphans. It as implemented under four phases commencing from the month of January 2023 and continued until 9th of April 2023.
Joy 2.0 ව්යාපෘතිය කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්යාලීය කළමනාකරණ හා මූල්ය පීඨයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය හි ජාත්යන්තර සේවා අංශය විසින් අඛණ්ඩව දෙවන වසර සඳහා ක්රියාත්මක කරන ලදී. මෙය නිවුන් සමාජ ගිවිසුම් ව්යාපෘතියක් ලෙස ඉන්දියාවේ Mulund Hill View හි රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය සමඟ සහයෝගයෙන් දියත් කරන ලදී. ව්යාපෘතියේ මූලික අභිප්රාය වූයේ ආදරවන්තයින්ගේ දිනය, දෙමව්පියන් නොමැති දරුවන් සමඟ සැමරීමයි. එය 2023 ජනවාරි මාසයේ සිට අදියර හතරක් යටතේ ක්රියාත්මක වූ අතර 2023 අප්රේල් 9 දක්වා ක්රියාත්මක විය.
ப்ராஜெக்ட் ஜாய் 2.0 RACUOCFMF ஆல் சர்வதேச சேவை அவென்யூவின் கீழ் தொடர்ந்து இரண்டாவது ஆண்டாக செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டது, இது இந்தியாவின் ரோட்ராக்ட் கிளப் ஆஃப் முலுண்ட் ஹில் வியூவுடன் இணைந்து இரட்டை கிளப் ஒப்பந்த திட்டமாக செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டது. அனாதை குழந்தைகளிடையே காதலர் தினத்தை கொண்டாடுவதே திட்டத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாக இருந்தது. இது நான்கு கட்டங்களாக 2023 ஜனவரி மாதம் தொடங்கி ஏப்ரல் 9, 2023 வரை தொடர்ந்தது.
As the first phase, The session on “Cultural Exchange” was held on the 7th of February 2023 via Zoom from 8.00 pm onwards with approximately 38 participants from both clubs, including the Rotaract District Representatives of RID 3141 and RID 3220. This session aimed to build a bridge to enhance mutual understanding and fellowship across the borders of Sri Lanka and India. Both the clubs shared their thoughts on their own culture. RACUOCFMF shared famous places in Sri Lanka and RCMHV shared about the cultural diversity and national symbols of India. Meanwhile, an ice-breaking session was conducted by RCMHV, where the participants introduced themselves in their own mother language and finally a solo song performance was lined up by one of our very own Rotaract member. This session was an informative and interactive session for all the participants.
The second phase of Joy 2.0 was conducted as a joint project conducted at Shilpa Children Development Centre on 13th February 2023. With the intention of spreading love, joy, and kindness for the 15 girls at the orphanage, the day was lined up with many exciting games and performances by the children at the orphanage. To make their day even more special we gifted them chocolates, scrunchies, stationery items, and snacks. We were wholeheartedly delighted to see the happiness on the faces of the children and satisfied with making the project memorable and meaningful.
The Joint General Meeting with the Rotaract Club of Mulund Hill View, India was held on the 09th of March as the third phase of the project. Nearly 80 participants from both clubs joined virtually via Zoom. The meeting commenced with the formal welcome and introduction of the board members of both clubs which was then followed by the avenue updates of the clubs. Meanwhile, an icebreaker session was conducted by RACUOCFMF and the meeting was adjourned with the closing remarks.
The final phase of the twin club agreement project was the joint bulletin. The magazine was published as “Twinned Service” on the 9th of April 2023 mainly focusing on the previous phases of Project Joy 2.0 and greetings from the GRR, ISD, President, and the Secretary of both the clubs.
Project Joy 2.0 was successfully completed in four phases with the collective effort and support of the Rotaract Club of Mulund Hill View, India, and the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo, Faculty of Management and Finance.
