With the utmost enthusiasm of welcoming the newbies on board to the junior digital communication team for the year 2021-22, “Creative Clicks” the induction project was organized by the Digital Communication Avenue of RACUOCFMF bearing the intention of giving a clear insight about the avenue for the newly joining members. The project consisted of five training sessions which were set to give an understanding about the digital communication and thereby to enhance their photo and video editing skills. In search of new talents and raw potential, the project was initiated on the 1st of September followed by the five training sessions which were held respectively on the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th and 12th September via Zoom and Google Meets.
Taking a look at the process of the induction, the registered participants were divided into four subgroups, where each group was coordinated by two members from the D-Com team. The coordinators along with their respective group members had an interesting interactive session where everyone introduced themselves along with a fun factor about themselves. Each group was given the task of coming up with a creative name for the team and indeed they came up with four fantastic names: Cyber Souls, Techminds, Graphic Junkies and Chat.com.
Induction Program was initiated on the 1st of September with the enthusiastic participation of over 70 amazing participants. The first day of the ‘Creative Clicks’ was an interactive session where the Co-directors of the Digital Communication Avenue Rtr. Danushka and Rtr. Visula, the President of the club Rtr. Arshad, the Secretary Rtr. Oshadi, the former digital communication Director Rtr. Sanjana along with the members of the D-Com team gladly took the opportunity of sharing their insights upon the avenue, the benefits of joining the team, portfolio of the team’s previous work and much more.
On the 2nd of September the first training session on Basics of Canva was conducted by our own co-director of the digital communication avenue Rtr. Danushka Lakshan where many areas related to the use of Canva, such as how to create a Pro Canva account, post designing and editing tips were shared with the participants.
The second training session was held on 4th of September covering basics essential skills of Photoshop while on the 5th of September the third training session on advance skills of Photoshop were conducted. The sessions were conducted by Rtr. Yushen Kithulgoda and Rtr. Visula Hareendra for the benefit of the photo editing enthusiasts. On the 8th of September the fourth training session was conducted by Rtr. Anuja Dilanjan on Filmora where the participants were given the opportunity of learning video editing skills and techniques through a comprehensively conducted session.
Finally, on the 12th of September the fifth and the final training session on Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects was competently conducted by our very own former digital communication director Rtr. Sanjana Wanigasekara where a vast knowledge and numerous tips on how to create creative videos were shared with the participants.
The project “Creative Clicks” came to a wrap up at the end of successively held five training sessions through which the attendees were given the privilege of acquiring knowledge and tips about the latest video and photo editing technologies. All thanks to their well-planned execution, the Digital Communication Avenue was successfully able to serve the purpose of the project.
