The 7th Installation Ceremony of Rotaract Club of Excellence was held on 12th September 2021 at 11.00 am through Facebook live. The gathering was welcomed by the Outgoing President of 2020-21 Rtr. Saalim Sathaar. He shared the experience that he gained throughout the past year by recalling wonderful memories. He added a beautiful quote by the great author Helen Keller: “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt” to his speech. Finally, he thanked everyone who inspired him to succeed.
Next on the agenda, the Outgoing President Rtr. Saalim Sathaar for 2020-21 transited the responsibilities and duties of the club by collaring Rtr. Dulasi Sakya as the new president for 2021-22. The new president, Rtr. Dulasi Sakya was uniquely introduced by her best friend Rtr. Kaveesha.
Thereupon, the newly appointed president addressed the gathering by thanking all the past presidents and the board of directors, and she stated that their theme for this year is “Change to Grow, Change to Uplift”. She concluded her speech by introducing and wishing all newly appointed board of directors for the year 2021-22. They are as follows;

After introducing the new board, a farewell video for the past president Rtr. Saalim Sathaar was played. This was followed by an entertainment item performed by Rtr. Nisini Nuhara who sang ‘Paya Ena Sandhawatha’
Furthermore, District Rotaract Representative Rtn. Rtr. PP Akhila Wijetunga addressed the audience. He stated that “we need to change according to the environment we live”, and he concluded his speech by praising wishes to the past year’s board of directors, the newly appointed president, and the club.
Next, the gathering was addressed by the Chief Guest Rtn. Gerard De Seram. He appreciated the board of directors 2020-21 and added a wish to the newly appointed board of directors. And the final entertainment performance of the ceremony was done by the Rtr. Navod Jayasingha who sang two songs which were ‘Visekari’ and ‘Divrala Pawasanna’
Later, all the felicitations were presented from all the Rotaractors. The ceremony came to an end with the vote of thanks by the newly appointed secretary Rtr. Hanugeerthy Mahendran.
